Auburn's d did a good job overall, we also had some absolutely boneheaded play calls though in some key short yardage situations though which didnt help, played a little too scared, but they felt confident AU's offense would struggle way more and it did.

That wasn't a screen, it was just a pass to the running back

People think Steele did his job because there is a 2 in front of LSUs final score

If LSU scores form the 1 yard line, which is only changing 1 single play, lsu scores 30 and people would be saying:

We gave up 30 points and over 500 yards!

If the barners had Vandy's offense you would still be a day late and a dollar short. This is starting to sound like you haven't run into the wrong team yet.

What if they had the Patriots defense and the saints offense?

Wow we would be screwed!

The goal was to not let you in the end zone and we did that pretty well.

To be fair, we played a pretty basic offense against y’all in the red zone compared to what we did against other teams. Pretty sure the sloppy field was to blame for that.

No running back recruits this game coming up to impress near the goal line. Back to business. Auburn is lucky they were not blown out. That isn't an "if".

Doesn’t really make sense. Sloppy fields always favor the offense, especially one like LSU runs. Much easier to run on a field like that when you know where you are going instead of having to react like defense.

Spanning across the 3rd and 4th quarters, AU had 5 consecutive 'three and outs' where the offense was pitiful (3 plays 1 yd, 3 plays 4 yds, 3 plays -3 yds, 3 plays 2 yds, and 3 plays -1 yds). The defense was on the field for almost a full quarter and LSU put up 200 yds of offense during that span.
Similar thing happened the week before against Arky in the 2nd quarter through the first possession in the 3rd. Only three possessions this time, but 22 net yards of offense and zero points in 15 minutes of game time.

Fortunately it was Arky so they only scored 3 points in that stretch. When we got back in the groove we scored 2 TDs in 22 seconds and went on to outscore them 34-7 the rest of the way.

But I said at the time, if that were to happen against LSU they would bury us. It's to AU's credit that we managed to keep them to only 2 TDs over that stretch of futility. Unfortunately, it was enough to win the game.

Pretty good statement by Ed. I bet that ole boy is having fun. He’s done a great job there.

Yeah and if LSU has Leonard fournette they would have won by 20. Stupidest comment ever.

Yeah he was a legend in big games. 50 yards combined in 3 years against Daddy Bama eh?

We are talking about auburn vs. LSU here. You said Auburn would have won if they had Stidham. Considering what Fournette did to Auburn I’m saying LSU would have won by 20.
