East is down to just 2 teams with any Playoff hope

Even then it would be a miracle
Missouri 1-0 4-1
Florida 1-1 2-1
South Carolina 2-2 3-2
Georgia 1-1 3-1
Kentucky 1-1 3-1
Tennessee 0-1 2-2
Vanderbilt 0-3 1-4
Georgia and Florida are only 2 big market schools in the east.
Each is still just limited to 1 loss to recognizable football school.
Each had losses on the road and not at home.
If either or both lose this weekend all hope in the east will be lost.

what the hell is the deal with this west is best s##t that has all of a sudden come about? Just because the national media says your good doesn't mean crap. Look at USCe - yeah - they lost two games, so now they suck right? Maybe they get it together and run the table and end 10-2 ... not so bad. You little bulldoggies could still end up 7-5 (which would be a pretty good year for ya'll in most cases).
Please win another relevant game and then still continue to be quiet.

Not bad, but with 2 home losses it will not be a Playoff team. the point was not to say the west was best but to say the options for the east at the Playoff level is not favorable odds at the current moment.

Missouri , despite losing to Indiana, has the best path to the SEC championship. If they can Split Georgia and A&M, I like their chances.
South Carolina and Georgia still have Auburn on their schedule making it a bit harder for them to catch Mizzou.
*About the playoffs
I'm gonna say the best teams in the SEC east are going to have to run the table.

The SEC West
- 28-3
- 25-0 against non SECW opponents.
- 8-0 against non SECW big 5 opponents.
- Every single team has a win over a big 5 opponent.
The SEC East
- 18-12
- 12-6 against non SECE opponents.
- 1-4 against non SECE big 5 opponents.
- Losses to TEMPLE and INDIANA
SEC East sucks.

Vandy losses shouldn't count.
With that said, the east is terrible.

Very enlightening and carries a LOT of weight coming from a team that barely beat a team that has not won a conference game in almost two years.

That said, I actually think you are right. Second year in a row we have been down. However, we did pretty well against the West last year, so the arrogance doesn't really hold a lot of water. Do you have a point? yes. Should you be arrogant? Hardly.

Arkansas will beat Missery.
I guarantee this.

I can't see how a team loses to Indiana and makes the top four.

How the F do you know? Are you taking counsel with Condi Rice and Tom Osborne?
Any one loss team from the East that runs the table is in.

Which begs the question if the east wins the SECCG does the SEC get no teams in the playoff?

each division only has 1 team with playoff hopes. whoever makes the conference championship (ok maybe 2 max in a weird situation). why does it matter how long the other teams stay alive?

Dammit. He started this thread just to troll Mizzou fans.

You guys need to win a division championship, then we'll talk. Georgia won a SEC championship when the East was dominate. The best you've done so far is 3rd. Oh, and you barely beat a team that hasn't won a conference game in almost two years.

You see...it is more effective if you actually win something, THEN run your mouth about how good you are.

Florida and Mizzou are still alive mathematically, but anyone who's seen them play knows that there's no hope.

I don't argue with any of that.
There's no way we make it through the rest of our schedule with less than 2 losses. That might be good enough to win the East this year, but we wouldn't beat whoever comes out of the West without divine intervention. And if even if we did, it would just mean that probably no SEC team would be in the playoffs.
