Everyone sleeping on OU this year

They're another team that may be improved but will have a brutal schedule'

Michigan in game 2. Road games to SC, Tenn and Bama and get Texas in the RRS and LSU at home.

Just a quick reminder that Texas isn't ever at home... and this season Texas is actually the home team in Dallas (odd years).

As you say... OU could be a lot better this year... but is OU better than the teams on their schedule. There are nine teams that they are going to play that are going to have roughly equal if not better talent than OU has.

Although, I don't think OU will be completely overmatched by anyone this year. All nine of those games out to be competitive games.

whjo is their Qb again? Is he mobile like Milroe? Because if he isnt, there wont be those game saving scrambles to save drives for them this year.

Still a competition. 2 of those competing are mobile yes.

And hopefully they won’t need as many “game saving scrambles to save drives” because the QB will throw the ball to the open receivers earlier in the play this year.

You're all missing the "surprise team"....as usual. Gives us great chalkboard material.

SEC Champ = Jawja

Playoffs = Jawja, Bama, Vols

Biggest Disappointment = texass

Eh, had a senior moment there. Thanks for correcting me.

For the record, I think Oky will be a better team, especially on D. I don't think talent is going to be a problem. From the few times I saw them play last year, they looked kinda out-physicaled on the LOS and gassed by the 4th quarter. They need to beef up their S&C program IMHO.

The Sooner teams back in the day were always a tough bunch of big ol mean boys. They haven't looked that way in a while. Correct me if you think I'm wrong.

If UTx loses to Ohio, they will have a long season. Same for LSU at Clemson.

Watch out for Florida, South Carolina and Auburn to break hearts.

Going to be a grind as usual.

Good luck.

Biggest SEC game of the season: Texas @ UGA - Donghorns come in looking for revenge. They don't get it... Dawgs take 3 in a row.

Biggest OOC game: Texas vs Ohio St - OS loses all those players they bought last year. Manning looks good in a rout and starts all the Heisman hype, which he will NOT win, btw

Biggest upset alerts: Tie... Bama @ South Carolina Lookout for that QB Bama!
Texas @ Florida The Horns will be looking ahead to the UGA game in a few weeks and Fl will have a pretty stout D

BK opener woes continue?: LSU @ Clemson - LSU loses 4 starters from that fantastic O that helped Nuss put up all of those big #s and Clemson has some NFL talent on D. I got a feeling this is going to be ugly.

Game a team BETTER win; If Bama falls @ FSU in game 1?? Whoa. Things gonna get reeeeal ugly real quick in Tusky

Biggest slide backwards - Not just 'see ya' Nico, but Vols lose Sampson and all of their OL. Tough times coming to Rocky flop

Surprise team - Florida would be but they have a tough sched. I'll go with the Gamecocks. Easy sched, they'll start the season 5-0 easily.

Playoffs - UGA, Texas, for sure

I think we lose to OSU, Ga, and Florida. I still think we make the playoffs or one of the first few out.
Until Sark proves he can call a red zone offense I will be skeptical of winning it all. Also a little concerned that he was unable to fix Quinn's issues with 3 years of development.

Finally, a humble UT fan.

I hope y'all beat down Ohio. I'm sure the rest of the SEC will agree.

I think you get one between UGA and UF.

I hope it's UF

Usually it is the other way around so I kind of prefer to see OU as a sleeper this season, particularly going into Dallas.

The underdog in that game often plays better and with more passion than the favorite.

I remember reading a post over on Shaggy during Sarkisian's first season at UT. He told his players going into the Cotton Bowl to have fun. The poster said he knew they were screwed as soon as he heard it. He was right.

OU 55 UT 48

It all comes down to Arch. One thing we will find out this season is whether or not the problem was Quinn or Sark's inability to develop him.
I'd love to be wrong but I need to see something before crowning us anything.
If Ga finds as QB you'll win the SEC. If not, I have a hunch on Bama. Not sure why. I do think DeBoer is a great coach. The question is culture. Does his translate to the SEC? We'll find out this season.

UTx is in the driver's seat.

They win at Ohio, they can lose 2 SEC games and still make the playoffs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arch wins the Heisman.

Y'all just gotta remember to be quiet and carry a big stick.

The texas schedule is ridiculously easy again but Arch couldn't beat out a 7 round draft pick last year. Oline and WR's moved on. Lot's of unknowns.

True, but when you have a good QB, a lot of that can be diminished.

If UTX beats Ohio...They are primed.

Arch has to simply play smart football. Texas success, real success, will rely on CJ Baxter and the running game in general.

If Baxter lives up to his potential, the defense holds true to what they have done, and the injury bug doesn’t hit..

We have no excuses.
