we know already...this is the most talent will have on D since Petrino has been here...We brought in Caldwell on the coaching staff...we will be improved, not top tier...
ST's is the huge question mark if you want to know the truth and cost us a minimum of two games(UF and LSU) and didn't help any in another loss (Bama)...I'm pretty sure we missed field goals in the OM game as well

Arky's offense has the talent to put up 30+ points game, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen every week. I understand y'all brought in Caldwell, but he'll have some growing pains with this group earlier in the season.

The current favorite has a huge questionmark on defense also. The same could be done with all the west teams.

Who the frick are most of those "publications?" I know who Phil Steele and Sporting News is. That's it. That's hardly overwhelming.
We were getting some love last off-season. We were optimistic going into last year and more vocal than normal. Do y'all forget all the hate we were getting last year though? For every "Ole Miss is gonna win the west" thread, there was a "The runts are going to crash and burn" thread.

He's a position coach...its not like we're changing the D...We lost one guy off the D-line and have a freshman that can come in and play this year...similar to DD Jones last year

I almost put Auburn at 4 cause of how overly touchy some of their fans were in this thread. I know I probably shouldn't put State in last but I'm banking on the fact that they're still Mississippi State. Same reasons apply to why I'm not buying into the South Carolina hype, watch them go 7-5, they're South Carolina, its what they do.

True but State could be fairly decent and still finish last in the West. I don't see them cracking the top 4 and then its just them and Ole Miss and I don't see Ole Miss being as bad as some people say, I kind of buy into the theory that Nutt does better when there's no pressure. They'll have a winning record I think.

I don't think we'll crack the top four either, I do see us ahead of OM, though. People forget about Nutt's 2004/05 seasons where they were just as bad as people thought. He doesn't always surprise.
