He was 1-3 vs Texas and went to one bowl game and left after 4 seasons. I guess he did about as good as possible there which isn’t much.

I guess they are thinking that Jimbo left FSU for A&M so Norvell might also. But Jimbo knew he hadn't maintained the ship and it was sinking. Norvell is in a fundamentally different place.

He’s a good coach but it’s a big jump to go from Duke to A&M. He definitely could be really good but not a lock at all.
If you can hire Lanning then you do that, who knows of Oregon going to the B1G changes how coaches look at that job though.
Kiffin is high floor but can he win the big one?
