No particular order. If I had to Kirby's, Vince, Richt, Butts.

They can’t afford to pay as much as other schools now that paying players is legal. Are you mentally challenged? Like seriously, you’re setting yourself up for failure. Unless Alabama learns how to cheat or finds 4-5 multi-billionaire donors who are willing to shell out $10-15MM a piece, Alabama’s days at the top are over. You’re seeing the last vestiges of what Saban built crumbling in front of your face the last two years. Just wait another two years, “Defour” will be “Defive/Desix”!

2. Phillip Fulmer - 152 wins, 1 national championship, 2 SEC championships and 6 SEC East division titles. College Football Hall of Fame 3. Johnny Majors - 3 SEC Titles (plus Heisman runner-up as a player), 1x SEC Coach of the Year. College Football Hall of Fame
Would Majors have a knife in his back? Just curious.

You can't see the backs of people on Mt. Rushmore...just like you can't get the blood alcohol content of the heads on the mountain.

Tennessee would be (in my opinion):
1. Robert Neyland - 173 wins (6 undefeated seasons), 4 national championships (1 consensus NC), 7 conference titles, plus designing the stadium. College Football Hall of Fame
2. Phillip Fulmer - 152 wins, 1 national championship, 2 SEC championships and 6 SEC East division titles. College Football Hall of Fame
3. Johnny Majors - 3 SEC Titles (plus Heisman runner-up as a player), 1x SEC Coach of the Year. College Football Hall of Fame
4. Bowden Wyatt - 1 SEC Championship, 1x SEC Coach of the Year, 1x National Coach of the Year. College Football Hall of Fame as Player and Coach.
Nathan W. "Big'n" Dougherty has to be on there.
He wasn't a coach, but he built the entire Athletic Department, including the football program. He is the man that hired Neyland.

It is without a doubt Doug Dickey over Dougherty or Bowden Wyatt. He won 2 SEC titles in 6 years, has one of the highest winning percentages in UT history, had a winning record against Bear Bryant, and gave us running through the T as well as checkerboard endzones. He also was a successful AD for almost 20 years

I would put Bear Bryant 1 and Saban 2 personally. Bryant made Bama into the blue blood and name that it is in college football. Saban carried on the storied history and is the best coach of the modern era. But I think for history sake without Bear Bryant there is no Saban as it would have changed the course of history if Bryant never existed. Not a Bama fan at all but I respect the history at least
