I'm not sure a $500 payment per player is going to do it but I guess we'll see.

Can't they just have everyone and let us input their names like always?

And insane exposure to gamers across the globe?

They would be idiots to turn it down.

And those that do, we'll just create ourselves

just agree to give 20% of revenue to all players and split it evenly. Checks are written the month before the newest version of the game comes out so they can maximize it.

I think that's going to be the sticking point with the big swinging dicks who think they're worth more than others whether it's $500 per player or 20% and split it evenly.

You’re kidding right? The vast majority of players would do it for free.

You are familiar with the O'Bannon lawsuit, correct? Many of the lesser known players might do it for free, or for $500, but the bigger names are likely to demand more. I could foresee a scenario in which they wind up back in court.

Best news I've heard today. It only took a whole decade.

It wouldn’t be unexpected for NIL to change a lot between now and summer 2024. Watch NIL change and they have to push back the release again or cancel it altogether

I’ll believe it’s released when I see it

Nah it’s coming bro. Players are irrelevant since a ton of us play out the dynasty modes and CPU names quickly take over the roster anyway. It’s the teams that just need to all play ball. Get all 130 plus and their stadiums and this thing will sell off the shelf

They could just make a game that completely randomizes all the rosters. Coders would have all the custom edits done for every team in a week, and everyone will downloads those rosters just like they've always done.

That was the most BS suit by O'Bannon. The dude wasnt even a main player in the game. He sued because the NCAA game had throwback teams and he was one of the players. It wasnt even a current player that sued. If his throwback team wasnt in the game, he wouldnt of sued. He was just looking for a payout.

I’m kinda hyped, but the game engine EA uses sucks now.

I’ll probably buy it when it comes out just to give the new dev team a shot, but I’m glad I have CFB Revamped in my back pocket

It actually took several weeks and potential months for a comprehensive, accurate roster in the old game. And that was also with far less roster spots than there should be I believe. The problem is people had to do it manually on the Xbox/ps.

They need an external tool on the PC to edit rosters and would be done much quicker. A lot of the rosters opted to not tweak player stats in an effort to cut down on time and bias. There’s were also tons of research done to update player height/weight/hometown/etc and deciding which guys to cut and getting the depth chart set.

Would also help if multiple people could work in parallel updating teams. Right now they pass it off to the expert on teams X, Y, and Z and have to wait for him to make updates then pass it off to the next.

Exactly. I still have random arse players that I fell in love with by playing NCAA. Chad Bumphis tore shite up in my online dynasty in college, and I appreciate him for that to this day
