Did you read what he said?

Finishing your season with 9 straight conference opponents and no bye week is a much tougher slog. That's not arguable.

Well sounds like you need to address the big12 and their scheduling if you have a problem with it. Nothing is stopping the big12 from adding open dates to the middle of the season

I’ll never understand why it matters to supporters of other conferences that SEC teams are playing OOC games in November.

As pointed out, the week Alabama was playing Texas, TCU scheduled Tarleton State. And Michigan? Was their toughest OOC opponent UConn? At least Ohio State managed to schedule Notre Dame.

Did you read what I wrote or what anyone other person is arguing itt? I should’ve known it was McMurphy with the quote however so he might be throwing Dykes to the wolves for some extra ecred and clicks

And opening the season with a major power 5 matchup doesn’t have its own potential issues?

Dykes has no control over his schedule? I understand this is his first year there but get with your AD and get your schedule re-shuffled from here forward.

Why is he bringing up the SEC, he plays Michigan on Saturday.

You see no advantage playing Citadel late in the season as compared to early in the season

Can you see that playing a tougher team in week 1 or 2 before your team is firing on all cylinders can be a challenge? You think Oregon might have preferred opening with the Citadel rather than UGA?

You know he wasn’t going to give Michigan bulletin board material. So go after someone else to make a point. I guess.

Being a Michigan fan, dazzling in all of your purity, you should be concerned about TCU on Saturday.

You understand just fine.

If you guys had to play 9 SEC conference opponents at all, you'd all shite your pants and talk about "gauntlet".

If you had to play 9 SEC games in a row without a bye week or OOC cream puff, you'd all be bragging and pounding your chests about playing 9 SEC teams in a row without a bye week and how you "ran the gauntlet".

As far as the rant was concerned most here wanted a 9 game conference schedule but unfortunately the brain trust of the SEC doesn’t like us very much

My initial thought was why is Beth Mowins taking a shot at the SEC?

Tech has drastically improved their physicality, no doubt

Dykes never mentioned the SEC. Lots of projection and insecurity

Please. That Texas Tech team physically punished OM last night. Night and day.

No argument here. Tech has been tough all season. Ole Miss is more finesse.

I was primarily referring to the days of having half your team injured after tough SECW matchups.

Texas hasn’t been much better than the Citadel recently though

The SEC has shifted power often, from Florida to LSU to Alabama to Georgia over the past 20+ years. No one is “dikkriding” the other.

Like I said previously I should have clicked the link first and seen it was McMurphy. I give dykes the benefit of the doubt now
