Would love to get that LSU-Auburn series going again. There have been a tremendous number of memorable games in that series, particularly in the eighties and nineties. Has always been my favorite series ....

Yeah that is what it means. Probably getting prepared for expansion.

I'd prefer OU for LSU rather than A&M. They've been trying to make that a rivalry and most in La. don't gaf.

They are now using the term 'annual opponent' instead of 'permanent rival.' These opponents will be reviewed every four years. This suggests we'll be 'stuck' with opponents who are not rivals, but hopefully for a limited duration of no more than four years.

I heard that on the radio when I was out at lunch. Seems like a decent compromise.

Realistically you will have 1-2 rivalry games protected with each school. There's no way that Bama doesn't have UT and Auburn. No way Auburn doesn't have Bama and Georgia. Texas, A&M, and Oklahoma will probably all play each other. UT will have Bama and Vandy.

They will probably review that third opponent every 4 years and do some swapping around for parity. I could see Auburn getting Florida for 4 years, then swapping them with LSU. Bama getting State, and swapping them for Ole Miss/LSU.

this right here.

I have a feeling LSU gets OU to end the year permanently.

Could develop into something fantastic.

I might advise you to prepare your sh*t wrecking gear because I doubt that’ll happen.

Tiger Claw, you have LSU with A&M as an annual rival, but you don't have A&M with LSU as an annual rival.

i would be happy with 3 of these 4

AU, Bama, UF, Ole Miss

in the last 25 years, these have been the most looked forwards to games every year, and have had their share of good games

Hoping for Bama, Georgia and Florida for Auburn. But I doubt we will get Florida. I really miss that rivalry. Was a great one in the 80's, 90's, and even in to the 2000s.

Does anyone consider Kentucky a conference rival in football?

This will eventually happen, no matter what our permanent three are, even if it is LSU on TG weekend. Eventually Bedlam will come back, likely as our P4 opponent.

Saying it now. OU will be a permanent for LSU.
Has to be them or Arky for Rivalry week. But can't lose the force fed "rivalry" between Arky and Mizzou

Curious if the SEC will actually make OK one of our 3 permanents. Supposedly they were close to doing it last time to make balancing the schedules easier.

This is the WORST possible setup for OU. Texas sure, but It is just a b12 redux. We really don't have a rivalry with A&M, I'd MUCH rather play LSU or Florida than A&M, or if you want regionality, Arkansas, it is a crime that OU-Arkansas has never been a rivalry before now.
