Get a little pressure on him and can't hit the broadside of a barn. Jam his receivers on the line of scrimmage and he is lost. He's a certain bust in the NFL but just because he is tall and had a strong arm they think he can be good. It's mostly just Mizzous offensive system catching defenses napping because either the defense just isn't good, or the defensive team is still winning comfortably because Missouri's D is so bad.

No big wins, 54.5% career completion percentage, doesn’t really run all too much? Not sure if I’m buying this kid. Also, let’s look at his stats in some of his games last year.

VS. South Carolina (L 31-13) - 14/32 for 245 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT.
VS. Purdue (L 35-3) - 12/28 for 133 yards, 0 TD and 2 INT. Keep in mind that’s at home.
VS. Auburn (L 51-14) - 23/39 for 216 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT.
VS. Tennessee (W 50-17) - 13/28 for 217 yards, 4 TD and 1 INT.
@ Vanderbilt (W 45-17) - 10/25 for 235 yards, 3 TD and 0 INT.
VS. Texas (L 33-16) - 18/34 for 269 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.
@ Georgia (L 53-28) - 15/25 for 253 yards, 4 TD and 1 INT. Missouri scores 21 in the first half, but only 7 in the entire second half.

Based on what I saw of him last year and his game by game stats, it seems to me that he is a good deep ball thrower, but he will miss short and long passes and make multiple mistakes in a game. Not good signs for someone who’s projected to be the top QB in the draft.

Final notes - Drew averaged 330.33 YPG last year, but only averaged 288.77 YPG against teams not named Missouri State, UConn, or Idaho. Drew threw 44 touchdowns last year, but only 26 against teams not named Missouri State, UCONN, or Idaho. Drew completed 57.8% of his passes last year, but only 53.02% of his passes against teams not named Missouri State, UCONN, or Idaho.

He’s got some talent, but isn’t worth the hype.

East Carolina?

They've been around a little longer than just two years.

Sadly no, he meant Coastal Carolina. East Carolina is a halfway respectable midmajor...

Are we debating if Drew Lock has talent?

Or if the talent will accomplish anything this fall?

That is 2 completely different things.

I know I've become the Drew Lock hater on this board but I think he's supremely talented and could have a huge year this year.

With that said, he has some areas where he needs to add some check marks, and none of them are "winning games" against good teams. He's a QB, not the entire offense. Obviously the numbers go way, way down against SEC teams and then even more so against ranked teams. However, the biggest area of concern has to be how bad the completion % gets against good teams. Now, some of it is drops, some of it is style of play (lots of deep shots), etc, but even all that doesn't explain away completion % hovering around 50% against good teams. He has to improve that.

Rocket arm and talented speed around him this year. Games with Georgia and Alabama. Has all the chances to set the world on fire.

Last year Mizzou receivers finished dead last in power 5 in dropped passes, year before we were almost dead last.

Completion is the least of his fault

Sometimes, drops are the QBs fault. It is about throwing a catchable ball.

Looking at Fromm, you would think he has a weak arm. But the more you watch, the more you see specific throws where he zips the ball in tight windows.

What is the point? Don't break the receiver's hands off if you don't need to. Too many QBs worry about looking like an NFL QB on every play and not enough about winning the dang football game.

He is a little over hyped but probably better then most QBs in the east . He plays on a bad team and has to take chances to win compared to someone Fromm who just has to manage the offense and not turn the ball over .

no troll, he has a cannon and has put up some amazing numbers, but I cannot think of a single big game he has won. There are a lot of younger qbs in the league who have led their team to big wins in the 4th quarter. Drew is not one of them that i am aware of.

I agree what you said about not beat any good teams with the offense. The real reason was the offensive coordinator Josh Heupel was the biggest problem. Why did OU got rid of him? This year I believe he will do a lot better against good and great teams this year. Look at LSU for an example. They suck on offense due to the kind of offense they ran. Same with MIZZOU last year and the year before that. This year should be much better. Also way too many 3 and out plays.
