You're welcome. It's nauseating to see a bunch of white guys using the term baw like it is part of their normal language pattern just in a bid to fit in and belong on an LSU site.

None of them had ever heard the term baw before visiting here and now act like they have been fluently using it their entire lives.

I have no idea why they feel a need to ingratiate themselves with such a backward, ignoble, dirty, and nasty group of people like the Cajuns.

Every time I read "Baw" on here, I automatically assume the person who posted it is a baby boomer or senior citizen.

Anyone on here under the age of 50 posting the word "baw" is trying way too hard to assimiliate and fit in with our resident baby boomers and senior citizens on this board.

The term, as used here on this site, was solely used by enslaved Africans in the United States. Not by the enslaved Africans of South America, the Caribbean, etc... Not by Celtics or Germans or Polish or Scots or Tatars or Japanese or anyone else.

It means nuts or balls in most languages, which is funny.

Honestly, I don't know how pervasive the usage of baw is among younger Cajuns in real life. I do feel you are right about your assumption of the people who use it on this site though.

Fortunately, no one associates with or lives around them except for themselves and very few, if any of them, are intelligent enough to leave written records of their idiosyncrasies and habits.

With time, perhaps, their "culture" will be completely erased and forgotten in the swamp gasses of time.
