LSU finished 2nd in the west last year ahead of A&M. The year before that we went undefeated in the SEC and the regular season for that matter.
You have to go back to 2002 for a season where LSU did not finish in the top 3 of the west.

The only thing epic about this game is the hype. Bama is going to go up 21-0 early and the last three quarters won't be worth watching.
