Gotta say the early returns from the playoff are pretty resounding.

Penn State DOMINATED SMU so everyone is assuming that SMU was no good. Maybe Penn State is just really good.

Ohio State is DOMINATING Tennessee so far.

Obviously last year Michigan was the best team in the country with suffocating defense.

Have the tables turned, and is the Big 10 the dominant force in cfb now?

The final 4 could realistically be:
1. Texas
2. Ohio State
3. Penn State
4. Notre Dame

The natty could easily be OSU vs. Penn State.

It seems clear right now in college and the NFL that defense and the running game is deciding games, and that's the hallmark of Big 10 football.

Nope. Greg Sankey is their bitch though. Why?

ETA: Sankey should have his stock portfolio checked. Heavy on Disney??

Home teams are winning on-campus games. No surprise.

The rule that put Boise state and Arizona state in the top 4 automatically has consequences.

The good playoff teams haven't even played a game yet.

Isn't that just more evidence to suggest that the Big 10 owns cfb right now?

Nope. They have blown out teams who shouldn't have been in it at all.

SMU stole SCAR’s spot
Tennessee stole Bama’s

Bama was beating Michigan by 7 with 4 min to go in the game and had the ball. I’ve never seen that from any Bama team and I’ve been going to games since 1978. Then of course lost in Overtime. Michigan wasn’t that dominant. We should have won that game. The inner of our game won the NC

Oh yeah, like Georgia who needed 8 OTs to beat Georgia Tech, and lost to Ole Miss and Alabama

Yeah, they're obviously so tough to beat

Notre Dame has a very real shot at beating Georgia. They're better than Georgia Tech.

Ohio State and Oregon are pretty much dead even.

It's arguable that NONE of the best teams are playing this weekend.

Certainly looking like it based on actual results in the 12 team playoff.

3 top 25 wins looks great.

You know what’s better? Blowing out the 9 and 10 seed in the playoffs.

All that chest beating by the SEC and Tennessee is laying an egg. Rough. Thank goodness for Texas and UGA.

I don't have much confidence in either one.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if one or neither makes the final 4

Maybe the SEC actually sucks now. Ohio State would beat every single team in the SEC this year.

the SEC doesn’t suck, but there is a lot more parity in college football this year.. that’s why everything is a little out of whack

there isn’t an unbeatable team

Agreed. Beck was so wishy washy this year. Even if he was available, it wouldn’t be certain they make it. Will Notre Dame actually win a big game against a strong opponent?

I’m much more confident in Texas reaching the final four. Really curious to see how their defense holds up against Oregon since Clemson seemed to find some holes.

OSU would destroy Tennessee in Knoxville just as easily.

Texas is not SEC

I’m pulling for Notre Dame against Georgia

Never assume what fans are pulling for

I don’t know. OSU struggled with Indiana and Michigan. I think the flag planting episode really pushed their buttons.

Ohio State isn't doing it on the ground. They are throwing down it Tennessee's throat. OSU's receivers are toying with the Tennessee
secondary.

You got the defense part right though. OSU's D has pretty much shut Tennessee's offense down
