Jason Taylor would tell you it happened differently than Heath Evans' version. Taylor would also tell you that Saban was at the hospital with the player and Taylor for HOURS later that night.

Believe the side that is more convenient to your narrative, though.

In all fairness, you and I both know that ESPN led bama to New Orleans.

Go on and say it, Im supposedly "butthurt".

In all fairness, I guess you think nobody campaigned for LSU in 2007 when we beat out all the other 2 loss teams and even a 1 loss team in the last polls of the regular season.

What's so bad about a greyshirt? It's still January. Plenty of time to find a new university if he wants to.

I feel it is our duty here on the SEC Rant to send the cockroaches scurrying back to their respective team boards. Most of them aren't even worthy of a grayshirt.

Though we have to keep a few around for entertainment purposes... I need them around when I need a laugh or need to vent my rage built up from another day of indentured servitude on the cube farm.

There were plenty of solid reasons why LSU jumped those other teams in the last poll of the regular season.

Surely you can find plenty of solid reasons why Bama deserved to be #2 in the final regular season poll in 2011 if you take off your purple and gold blinders for a moment.

No one would be complaining about the mulligan had we taken care of business and won the game.

It's the system we currently have. LSU has benefited from it just as much as Bama has.

With the looming 4 team playoff these opportunities will become more likely, not less likely. And that's a good thing. I'd rather see the best teams get a chance to settle it on the field -- even if one of those teams has one loss and only one loss to an undefeated team in their same division.

Mike Riley played for Bear Bryant.

Of course he think grayshirting is a harmless crime.

That's from a Nebraska paper. Unless it's CWS related, I don't read news from Nebraska.

Are you trying to argue with my bulletproof thesis that Tuscaloosa is the center of all evil in the universe?

Obviously it is win at almost any cost. Trying to argue otherwise is just silly. His life and all he does has been dedicated to winning on the football field. It is why he is so successful.

AJC reports that he has grayshirted another player to get around the rules.
If there are no printed rules against it and no penalties for it, it's not "getting around the rules."

So are you done licking the taints of bama posters so you can make e-friends in here?

My comments have nothing to do with "looking through purple and gold glasses" and everything to do with the overall body of work between Bama and OKSt. Every year all we heard was "insert team" has the best body of work so they deserve to go to the game. Last year it was, body of work is nice, but it needs to be who looks the best on paper or who has the best loss. Everything was changed last year compared to how its been every year before that. And you are right, whats done is done, but it doesnt mean it was deserved.
