I think he is good, but I really think he benefits from everyone else being mediocre at the QB position. Would gladly take an Aaron Murray or Zach Mettenberger over him.

He doesn't scare anyone in Panama City

I think when healthy his mobility makes him very dangerous. Murray and Mett were pretty different QB's.

I agree I was just giving an example of QB's I would prefer over him.

He's more mobile than Murray was, but AM was very effective when running nonetheless. I think AM is slightly ahead since more often than not, he was dissecting defenses. I don't think Dak is anywhere close in that regard.

Splitting hairs though. Dak should scare opponents, but the fact that their offense should be relatively one dimensional goes against him.

*Cue MSU posters chiming in with the fact that all their backups will be better than last years' starters and the offense will actually be 5 dimensional and anyone who can't see that is an idiot*

I don't think its so much of Dak scaring anyone. It's Mississippi State not scaring anyone.

So you'd take 2 NFL QB's instead? Yeah, me too

He is a very good QB. Not sure what he has around him though.

Which dimension would that be?

I wonder how long it will be before other coaches catch on and start rotating players...

Dak's size & mobility are definitely scary, at least at the college level. His arm isn't in the same zip code as Mett though

Dak averages many combined yards and points in Mullen's offense. You're comparisons are weird. As far as TRUE dual threat, he's up there.

Maybe he should scare me more, but he really doesn't. I think we'll beat him up pretty good.

If you allow him to run the ball effectively, his passing game will open up and that could be dangerous w/ Bear out there as a big target. I thought both Bama and Ole Miss schemed him really well though and benefited from playing him late when he is banged up. Shut down that read option and qb sneaks and make him a pocket passer. Dak will be running all over LSU.

He's a perfect fit for that offense, much like Tebow was.

Put Murray or Mettenberger into that offense and we'd all have a laugh.

Doesn't mean he's a better QB than either of those two, jut a better fit for the system.
