re: Does Bama's play the last 5 weeks of the season really justify a playoff birth?

Yes it does and the committee believes so as well

Probably not but when healthy (RB & OLINE) this Bama team can play with/beat any team.

Sweet melt. Why would an LSU fan ever even care about the playoffs?

Who cares, the more SEC Teams I., the more the profit for each school

The last five yes. The last game no. Oklahoma was a top ten team and you lost by 2 points. You can’t diminish what Bama did during the season earning the first seed in the best conference. Bama is badly injured right now with ten players a mix of starters and rotational players out for sec cg. I do believe they earned their way in with wins obtained with a better SOS and SOR than all the other teams behind them. That’s an honest and objective response.

What Bama fan can honestly answer that?
I can…Bama beat LSU, beat Auburn in a rivalry road win, barely lost to #8 OU…I had prime seats at the game, it was close even after we gave them points. Lost a game to UGA with several key starters missing but a team Bama had already beaten in their own house. Can’t ignore the other games that led up to those last few either. Why should those “last five weeks” matter more?

Your tears alone justify Alabama making the playoffs. The Louisiana marsh is shrinking, your salty tears will help save it.

Bama won’t make it out of the first round

Unfortunately, they were forced to rematch their toughest opponent because of a conference championship game.
Teams don’t complain about rematches.. it’s just the next game. Fans with cajones don’t either, ei

No. But really neither does beating a lot of bad teams soundly either.
Really problem is that the super conferences mean a handful of teams play Top 30 or so teams week in week out and they rest play 2 or 3 all season.

Meeeeeellllllllttttttt!

Why cherry pick to make your argument? We're in because of the first 7 games where we beat the #3 team on the road. And beat 4 ranked teams in a row with no breaks when many of those teams had bye weeks before playing us.

According to the playoff committee it does. Suck it loser
