You do not get out much. AUs reputation is well known. We have the likes of Tim Cook and Adm Mike Rogers just in today’s world.

Vanderbilt is actually tied at #14 in the US News college rankings with Cornell & Brown, both Ivy league schools. With the level of reinvestment Vandy is putting into the campus right now (excluding athletics) and the growth of Nashville, it wouldn't surprise me for Vandy to surpass those in the near future. Top 25 Rankings:
1. Princeton
2. Harvard
T3. U Chicago, Yale
T5. Columbia, MIT, Stanford
8. UPenn
9. Duke
10. Cal Tech
T11. Dartmouth, John Hopkins, Northwestern
T14. Brown, Cornell, Rice, Vanderbilt
T18. Notre Dame, Wash U
20. Georgetown
T21. Emory, Cal-Berkley, UCLA, USC
T25. Carnegie Mellon, UVA
As a side note, Vandy was #20 in the 1997 rankings, so they've made quite the leap in the past 20 years.

should Penn State be named "State College University"?
The university set up camp amongst a few boroughs in central PA. About 40 years after the university was founded the boroughs became collectively known as State College.
So the answer to your question is no.

Sounds good. AU should be an institution. I've seen the fans there on numerous occasions. Many of them would greatly benefit from institutional care.

Now you calling yourself out with your alter is the best part of this thread.

You got that right. AUs rep is known all over the country. The NCAA practically living on your campus for years and years ensures that everyone knows you

That is how you rednecks and sidewalk fans think. The schools reputation goes much further than what happens on the playing field. I try not to hold that against most school's alumni, because we usually can tell who the sidewalk fans are.

When AU has the NCAA on their campus year after year it's hard not to think as I and others do. We hear that the FBI joined them recently. Wow! That's really something. Even bigger than AU testifying before congress years ago about freezers of beef and strange loans at a Dye connected bank. Way to go Auburn! You are really raising your profile!

I see where they are widening the sidewalks in Athens. How is Jan Kemp?

Unfortunately Mrs Kemp died several years ago. Didn't approve of her methods but she served as the kick in the butt that UGA needed to raise their academic standards. It's a different environment now and she was partly responsible

She has been used as the excuse for mediocrity in UGA Sports for years.

No, but your name definitely has "trailer park" written all over it
PS: "Calling the Hogs" ranks right up with the best traditions that Harvard or Yale has to offer
