Fact of the matter is that if 2 teams from the same conference get in then it will be from the B1G and not from the SEC this year. And probably for the next few years especially if the other conferences have 12 or 11-1 teams in them.
College Football as a product needs the other major conferences to win now and then to keep interest up.

Did Bama win the SEC West?
Or the SEC?
Did they beat the ACC Champion during the year?
Did anyone else have fewer losses?
Georgia did? Well, did they win their conference? division? There was Hawaii? Are we going to consider Tulane?

Follow the discussion or shut up. Dude made a point earlier that the committee cares about views. Well, here they are.
There were a lot of views. They all now know your team can’t hang because they’re soft.
The committee saw that a lot of people who would normally watch a top tier program in a playoff game have no need to watch another splattering.

Yep, just like every other year. "No one wants to watch a rematch" is a stupid talking point.

Yes. The committee will take a 1-loss OSU over any 2-loss team.

He knows that. What you don’t seemed to realize is those views will go WAY down with a rematch because you guys shite the bed at home.

What you don’t seem to realize is that the committee is not going to seed it out for a rematch.
And, rematches haven't stopped the committee before.

I know we lost but the committee weighs bad losses and good losses. That was a very good loss
I don't know man, everybody keeps talking about how good bama's losses are but no one really talks about the lack of any good wins.
Bama getting in feels like this world cup shite where everybody is happy after a 0-0 draw. It's un-American damnit!!

This thread stinks of impotent rage, despair, and a desperate attempt to grab ant straws instead of accepting reality.

I believe they're on the outside looking in at the moment, but as 4 of the 5 conference champs can finish undefeated or with 1 loss, those 4 teams (UGA, Michigan, TCU, and USC) are the front runners. If USC loses, I think Ohio State probably gets in. The really curious question is if one of the other 3 lose, does OSU get in or do you still keep them in?
I would be inclined to say those first 3 should almost be set in stone, with only seeding to be up in the air. Then #4 should be Ohio State if USC loses. Utah getting the tie-breaker means that USC HAS to win in order for the PAC-12 to get represented.
I just don't see an avenue for Alabama that doesn't involve some pretty ludicrous events from occurring (like TCU, UGA and Michigan all getting absolutely slaughtered in their championship games). It really feels like those top 3 teams are playing for seeding, with OSU needing USC to lose to get in. Then they can debate Ohio State vs whomever.

They have lost their last two matchups to Michigan by 15 in 2021 and 22 this year. Michigan has scored 42 and 45 respectively in those games. Michigan is not a juggernaut offense. Ohio St stopped recruiting defense when Urban “resigned,” and it been showing up the last two years. The committee will not put them in.
If USC loses to Utah again, Ohio State seems like the next man up to get the 4 seed.

And it wasn’t. No way to argue otherwise when you get skulldrug at home.

No team that gets blown out should ever be in the Playoff.

We led at the half and it was a one score game with seven minutes to play.

Perhaps your team could try playing the whole game next time?

Honestly
Yes
They are one loss to the #2 team in the nation.
If your argument is “well they aren’t playing well right now” then frick it put USCe in the #4. They are on fire right now.

Bamas win over auburn wasn't stellar. I dont believe that bama could beat clemson this year.

Michigan’s running back would still be going if you hadn’t built a wall back there to stop him. Your defense sure couldn’t.
