When you’re a crappy team, every 3 game stretch is tough.

It's been proven time and time again that the East was not down when we won it. '13 was one of the better years for the East and 14 was about average
Proven by whom?
The East has been shite since Urban had his heart attack, and it was in decline then. It is improving now, but it's still not up to par with the West. At the very top, UGA is as good as anyone, but they have an advantage of getting Vandy, UT, Mizzou, and Kentucky on the schedule every year.
Replace Vandy, Kentucky, and Tennessee on your schedule with Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and A&M every year and then get back to me.

2013 final AP poll:
2. Auburn
4. South Carolina
5. Missouri
7. Alabama
14. LSU
18. Texas A&M
24. Vandy
Looks like in 2013 replacing MSU with Vandy would've been a bigger cause for concern for West teams. Stop acting like you're Bama or Auburn just because they beat you every year.
2014 the East was dogshit, Georgia finished 9th and Mizzou finished 14th, the rest of the East was unranked.

In 2013, Carolina didn't have to play Alabama, Auburn, LSU, or A&M.
In 2013, Missouri didn't have to play Alabama, Auburn, or LSU (until the SEC Championship game, where Auburn kicked your arse).
Are you really saying with a straight face that Mizzou would have had a top 5 finish, or Carolina would have had a top 5 finish, if they had played an SEC West schedule? Because you're an idiot if you are.

I don't give a shite about Mizzou. But I am saying that Carolina team was good enough to be top 5 in any division. They beat the final ranked:
#5 Missouri
#8 Clemson
#10 UCF
#22 Wisconsin
#24 Vanderbilt
Three top ten wins and two more ranked teams, but sure I'm the idiot. Has Mississippi State ever beaten three final ranked top ten teams in a season?

Mizzou beat A&M that year you clown
Mizzou lined up better against Alabama too. Much rather have played them.

Typo on A&M. It doesn't change the point.
Alabama, Auburn, and LSU would have been guaranteed losses on your regular season schedule. Three losses you didn't have because you had the good fortune to not have to play them. Five different teams in the West could have won the east that year if they played that schedule.

I wasn't trying to denigrate USC. They were more deserving than Mizzou and their loss to Mizzou that year was a fluke. But dude, Mizzou and UCF weren't legit top 10 teams.
As for Mississippi State, this wasn't about them. But I will say that State beat three top 10 teams in a row in 2014, facilitating the fastest rise to #1 in college football history. Those teams didn't finish up there because, well, they lost. Oh, and they played SEC West schedules.
I don't think it's unreasonable or controversial at all to say that you guys, or Mizzou, wouldn't have finished so high or been in contention to win the division if you had to play Alabama, Auburn, or LSU that year. It's common sense. The way Auburn gashed Mizzou in the championship validates the theory.

SEC scheduling office is ridiculous. Tennessee this year is about as brutal as can be. Auburn last year had 3 consecutive away conference games leading into the Georgia game. I know LSU seems to be right there with AU for toughest schedule every year. Bama's always seems to be incredibly well balanced, luck of the draw I guess.

Oh I was around. I've been here for a lonnnnnnng time.
The East never dickrode UF and UT in the 90s like the westies do now. And it's not everyone in the West, but y'all definitely have a couple of dozen that regularly hop on the westie pole and slide down on that thing with a big satisfied smile on their faces.
We can all name at least a dozen regular members of the westie dickriders.
