quote:When did you see LSU adjust to zone coverages in that game? LSU by choice played man and didn't adjust at the half. Why were Ed/Bo stubborn? It's not like they didn't know what the defense needed to do, they just chose to stay in man D.
Lsu tried everything on defense. Man, zone and combos.

It is true. Mostly heavy man but your coach threw the book at us. Sorry it didn't work out.
I'm not saying they didnt play different variations here or there but Pelini didnt adjust, plain and simple.
He played tight man coverage all day and blitzed up the middle.
He didn't "throw the book" at anything.

Well you can reconcile it however you want but our team has been there before so I guess we can act how we want. Meanwhile yall are 1-0 and apparently the whole conference is now supposed to fellate you nonstop.

Even without all of the uniqueness of the current situation for all and specific to LSU, fighting complacency and the champion's gut in a title defense year is always obstacle #1 for coaches and staffs

They didn't adjust. They tried a few things and went back to man coverage. I'll re watch the game on Sunday and let you know what time on the clock.

Yes, my team cares. And so does yours. Just because they got whipped doesn’t mean they ceased to care.

Pelini stubbornly stayed in man coverage, plugged up the middle and Costello killed them through the air because MSU didn't have to run the ball to move it down the field.

maybe they just wrote 2020 off. Controlled scrimmages this year, don't lose any scholarship players, plan on being a beast when it get back to normal.
Scoob does not speak for us.

Y'all cared a lot more before you got your fricking shite pushed in.
I mean, what I understand of the rules, you can play this season, and don't lose any years of eligibility, right? Isn't that what the NCAA has said?
It would suck for a fan to watch it, but if you're a coach making changes or building, it might be a gift.
Players will always try to win, but coaches want to build long-term. LSU can get smoked for half the season, then by the end of the year the defense might be pretty strong, and you go into 2021 as a contender.
I said I wasn't trolling or making excuses. I'm wondering, is there any other reason you don't change your pass defense scheme, before your opponent gets 600 yds on you?

This is what I came in here to post. Saban doesn't get enough credit for keeping Bama players engaged and hungry. I have witnessed complacency with Spurrier's teams and Urban's teams after we had reached the mountain top. It is a hard thing to stay on top. Much harder than getting there.
That said, LSU also lost a ton of talent from last year's team and didn't have your best player available.

3rd quarter 1 minute left after LSU turns the ball over the first play LSU played full on zone coverage.
That was easy. I don't want to find more because you don't know what u are talking about... At all.

2nd 15 start of 4 quarter. Man with the corners the rest were sitting in zone.... I can do this all day.
Your team got out coached.

Dude, no one is disputing that LSU played zone or some other look here or there.
The issue is that they just didn't adjust after halftime and continued to play tight man coverage most of the time.

I just gave you 2 examples in the second half start of the 4th quarter.
In a matter of 5 seconds. I did the second half to prove your ignorance
