Might as well cancel football season, Mardi gras, Christmas, New Year's, mother's day cause State is your 2018 national champion

I think it's very reasonable for LSU, Auburn, Alabama and UGA fans to say yes. That said, I bet one of us doesn't. All should have at least a couple close calls, and 1-2 will likely win multiple.
UF and A&M could probably say yes without being absurd. Tennessee too, although I think it's the least likely of all of those.
Everyone else should say no.
In terms of likelihood of winning a title, it's:
Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Auburn
LSU
A&M
Tennessee
everyone else

Yes. That may not stick long term, but UF hasn't been on the cusp lately and hired a coach to bring stability, not necessarily championships. I think UF has considerably more upside than LSU and Auburn, but they've got to get back in the hunt before I'll put them ahead in this category.

Honestly, 20 years is too long of a time period. So much can change during that time. Who would have predicted the emergence of Miami in 1963? Who in 1976 was saying Florida would eventually be a national powerhouse? Who could have predicted LSU in 1983? Definitely not me.
To be honest, I do not see LSU winning a championship under the current coaching staff. Therefore, I would have to answer "no" to you question. But then again, I doubt we have the same coaching staff in 20 years, so it is difficult to say.

I would bet money that LSU will make the playoffs at least once in the next 20 years.

If they do I will commit seppuku with all of my alters.

Lol. If they get a good coach, they could do some damage.

Thank god we don’t have to worry about that for a while.

Without a doubt. We’ll win 1-2, maybe more.

I'd hope with all of that money being spent.
I've said it a few times already, this season is going to be fun and interesting to see what happens.

I think nearly any sec team can win it if they get the right guy. Lamar Jackson said he was going to Florida if they didn't fire Muschamp, with that defense who knows but they would have been tough to beat. Cam Newton or Watson or Vick and you never know

Auburn is might be marginally higher than UF right now but over the next twenty years I'm more confident in UF. Auburn has needed generational players to take them to the next level and has really fluctuated based on their skill players. I'd bet on UF hitting on the Cam Newton lottery before Auburn, for what it's worth.

quote:Yeah of course and that's why I put them as a distant seventh. Their chances of winning a title over the next twenty years are tiny but I'd still give them the nod over South Carolina, Arkansas, Kentucky, etc.
Gonna be awhile imo

Like Tebow to Florida?

How many generational players has Florida had compared to Auburn?
Cam > Tebow
Bo > Emmitt
Pat Sullivan > Spurrier

Pretty confident we will win one in the next 20 months.
