I’ve paid the restaurant bill a couple of times and done the “round up” to contribute to NIL, so all totaled I’m probably in for somewhere between $.80 - $1.25.

Never. I’m opposed to the whole clown show. I’ll support LSU no matter who they put on the field. Not going to contribute to bribing these highest bidder athletes.

I quit college sports a few years ago.
-No more $ for levels just to be able to purchase club tickets.
-No more $ for levels just to be able to purchase parking passes.

By the time the NIL letters arrived I had already found a life without college sports.

While I’m sure some small dollar donors contribute, if rosters really are going for $20 million to $40 million, that’s a game for rich men.

It hasn’t impacted my enjoyment of the game. I just think at these figures others are handling payroll and I can find better causes to give money to.

Have you heard about the 2 Texas Tech billionaires that sold their startup tech company for 6 Billion? And, apparently, they're determined to see the Red Raiders win a national championship in something. They're throwing millions at the TT NIL fund.

No. Entertainers make way too much money imo.

I am rooting for the jersey no matter who is wearing it. If it all crumbles down and we are back to junior college level talent, I will be just as happy.

I knew they were spending a lot on sports. But I hadn’t heard exactly where it was coming from. They’ve been in the neighborhood before in basketball. And they’re back in the neighborhood now. So maybe it pushes them over the line there.

I think it tests the limits of buying a championship for Tech in football though. Maybe it’s just an old bias against the place, but 5* athletes still will want the blue blood schools, which can pay them, too.

The schools the NIL really helps are probably the bigger/better Big10 schools, because it evens up a geographic disadvantage of not being where the best players are.

If they’re spending any of that on baseball they’re not getting great returns there.

Not regularly but there are a couple of businesses that I intentionally trade with because they contribute part of their revenue to UGA NIL. These are things I would buy anyway. I have had 4 season tickets since 1994 so I think UGA gets enough of my money...if it means going 7-5 its still UGA football....

Hell no. And I have no respect for anybody who is middle to upper middle class who values that racket more than their own family. You get nothing in return but bragging rights to other fans. Nothing. What a waste of money in an effort to somehow get some weird validation in life that is truly meaningless in the big picture.

No one commenting on here donates to NIL. That would mean you have considerable financial success…and no one on here in the middle of a Wednesday has considerable financial success.

Well actually, it could just mean you’re a total moron. So I guess some of y’all could actually be donating.

In the future, the sun will explode and this planet will no longer exist. So in the big picture, is anything really meaningful?

I think of it more a "leasing" than donating!

"no one with any considerable financial success can maintain their own schedule" is certainly a weird take.
