You know the older people in the stadium that bitch and moan about people standing up? You know the people sitting in traffic for hours after a game barely being able to keep their eyes open and yawning with practically a permanent open mouth? You know the people that would rather be at home grilling, relaxing, and having a bathroom right down the hall when the game(s) is on tv? We are becoming those people rapidly.
I watch college football all day on Saturday...never miss LSU and SEC games, but a win is a win and a loss is a loss...
It's entertainment.

Still have them. Granted, I'm in college and don't have a full time job to focus on yet.

I live streamed three different high school football games last night. I have no personal association with any of the teams involved.

For me, it's due to Alabama. There just no dramatic tension building excitement during the season when you know in the end that Saban is either going to win it all or at least play in the championship game. Alabama has made it boring. The best thing that could happen to the sport would be Saban retiring.

Saturday football is my religion. Sunday is the other day of the week I don't go to work.
I used to care about the NFL more, but that has diminished. My life circumstances have remained stable during that decline, so I gotta say "No" for cause and effect.
Irregardless (LOL), I hope your work and family situations are working out well.

Almost 63 years old and the older I've gotten the more I realized there are more important things than a game. Still love college football and following UT like I have all my life....Just don't live and die with it like I did 25 years ago.
It took you well into your 30's to realize it's just a game?
I think I realized that when I saw a bunch of grown men in great seats (likely donors) boo jarrett lee after he threw his 2384828th interception in one season. I thought about how he wasn't much older than me and how much pressure that guy must be feeling.
Ever since I enjoy tailgating and seeing friends/family equally as much as the game. The highs of winning are still great, but I just go back to drinking if we lose

You get older and realize it's just football
Still love it but not near as intense as I used to be in high school or college

I'm as emotionally invested into the Raiders as I've ever been. For Alabama, it depends on the opponent. I can't stand the Iron Bowl or LSU games. Basketball is a different story though, and I continue to get sucked into it every year.

I'm going through that phase with recruiting, but I still love watching my college and NFL team. If they're on, I'm going to watch it, period. I followed recruiting closely from 2008-2015, but I just don't do it anymore unless I read our recruiting thread.

I enjoy football much more now that I care about it much less.
