Do you care about football as much as you used to?

I used to be REALLY into it, both college and pro. I'd follow all the teams and knew what was happening. The last couple of years, I've gradually lost interest in it. Work and family have picked up, I guess. Too busy with life, perhaps? I don't know. I'll watch games this Fall, but I'm not nearly as excited about it as I used to be.

Anyone else like that?

Same here. I don't get the highs and especially the lows like I used to over football.

Yes, because I'm not dead inside.

That's what typically happens the older you get.

I still love college ball, but haven't seen anything about the pro's at all this year.

The disappointment over a loss lasts all of about a couple of minutes.

It's called growing up. I still get pretty animated during games but I'm over the outcome within an hour of the game ending. That on top of late games and it being difficult to take the whole family, I've just learned to enjoy the games and when it's over, it's over.

I still do but I have a feeling the SJW will soon be taking part in college ball too and then I'm done.

I only care about college football. Couldn't care enough about the NFL.

No... that's not it

I don't know.

I know. It's tDecline. It's real. You can feel LSU regressing back to their most natural state, where they lived for most of the 90's.

While I am still into cfb big time, one thing that has changed a lot for me over the years is this:

Losses don't affect me near as much as they used to. When UM used to lose a game, I'de dwell on it for the whole week.

Now when there is a loss, I'll complain for maybe an hour or 2, then just turn on other games and move on. Over it by the end of the day

Almost 63 years old and the older I've gotten the more I realized there are more important things than a game. Still love college football and following UT like I have all my life....Just don't live and die with it like I did 25 years ago.

i am transitioning from middle to old age and "no" its just not as important as it once was....i still enjoy it, but i have to credit gus malzahn for his part in taking the importance factor out of football....losing will do that

Of course. Its why old people sit all game while students are always standing and yelling. The older you get, the less impactful wins and loses are. Unless you have nothing going on in your life of course like Updyke. I still love the game. Just not as emotional about it. What happens happens.

I'm loving college more than ever in my life. Booked the hotel in ATL for the opener can't wait for the season to start. Of course I'm spending more money than ever on Bama football every year + having a senior at Bama with another one on the way next year....but I'm loving every minute of it!

College is the only sport I follow at all much anymore.

I'll watch the NFL, but not going to arrange my sunday around games or be upset if I miss any. Like I do on saturdays, but with DVR i'm not like i'm use to be with CFB. As long as people dont ruin the score for me. Ha.

Havent watched a full nba game in yrs. Including playoff time. I still enjoy going to the Ballpark to watch a few games a season, and catching the baseball playoffs no matter the teams in it.

All the added crap, and everyone that puts these players on pedestals to gag on their junk just makes it annoying. "Just play the game that ton of people got paid pennies compared to you to build up to get you out of poverty." I HATE sports radio too.

Sux as if I ever have kids I probably wont rear them around sports as much as I was. Which is fine I guess, but will need to make sure they don't turn out to be total nerds not able to have a convo with people in general about sports. Ha.

I'm WAY more excited about college football now than I have been since school. I moved east of the Mississippi in '82 and very rarely got to watch A&M on TV. Now? I can easily go to many games and the games I don't go to will always be on TV. Hell yes, I'm more excited now.

Pros, not so much. I still pull for the Cowboys and Saints but if I miss a game it's OK. I started losing interest with free agency. About the time I started liking a guy, he got traded.
