Apparently, nobody asked the SEC fans if they wanted Texas or OU.

The SEC is over. It's a new conference going forward.

I think what's more likely to happen is that 99% of Texas fans have a great time at every SEC venue and 99% of SEC fans have a great time in Austin.

The 1% will post on the rant about how Texas just don't fit in with us Pawwwwl.

I do think one of the biggest comedowns for Texas fans will be them having to finally shed the hilarious and always baseless view that "We are everyone's Super Bowl."

Now granted, this was a psychological coping mechanism they deployed to rationalize why they were losing consistently to Baylor, TCU, Tech, Iowa State, K-state, etc.

Still, deep down they truly believed every opponent was foaming at the mouth out of sheer jealousy and obsession while they were yawning their way to victory.

Ask every team in the Big 12 who they want to beat the most this season. Maybe the only one that doesn't answer Texas is Oklahoma State. They'd say Oklahoma (and then Texas).

Also, one of the best things about this move is that we won't be everyone's super bowl. SEC teams don't give a shite about us. Outside of Arkansas, and Texas A&M, of course.

It will be refreshing not to have a bunch of 2 and 3 stars playing with their hair on fire because we didn't offer.

Given past results, they are just playing the odds.

I wish we would've added Clemson and FSU instead since the last expansion was also westward. Oh well.

Chicago is not called the "Window City" because of the high winds off of Lake Michigan.. East Coast Yanks gave the city the nickname due to being a bunch of blowhards.

A very good friend, season ticket holder at Alabama, told me of a visit to Norman Oklahoma that he and his wife were better treated their by the Oklahoma fans than they had been by the fans at any other SEC venue and he has visited them all.

Worst decision the SEC has ever made. Will cause the break up of the SEC one day I believe

You may be right, but would you rather the conference just stay regional and eventually lose some of the power it has gained in the last few decades?

The SEC may make a misstep like Nascar, but if you want to stay at the forefront of college athletics, you have to continue to grow.

Whether we want them or not they are here.

To continue to be on the forefront of college athletics the SEC had to expand. At least those two states are contiguous to the rest of the conference. The big ten expanded with teams from three time zones away. How goofy is that?

Both new teams will bring eyeballs to the tv sets.

As far as "fitting in" I am not sure what all that is supposed to mean. Their fans love football and support their teams. The rest of the SEC loves football and supports their teams. How much "fitting" do you have to
do?

These two new teams fit better in the SEC than some of the teams in the ACC, imo.

At the conference meetings they will get one vote like everyone else.
