Yes.
Tell me with a straight face they aren't better than anything on offer today.

My very earliest memories of watching football was the TBS game of the week w/ Bob and Tim. Great times!

Dave Neal is a good play by play commentator. And yes I have nostalgia from watching Jefferson Pilot.
Same here on both counts.

How dare you talk about the Vanderbilt Network like that

Bring back the old WTBS games at 11 with Bob Neal and Tim Foley. JP ruined that bit of true nostalgia

Dave Rowe
I didn’t like listening to Dave’s Keys to the Games but he was an amazing football player in his day at both Penn State and in the NFL

Dill pickle flavor or GTFO. Used to watch the JP games with some Flake, some boiled peanuts from a roadside stand, and an RC.
Yeah, it was legitimately better then.

Dill Pickle is good but Sweet Heat is the best.

Yes, it is certainly a nostalgia act.
They called the Bluegrass Miracle game. That alone is legendary.

As a State fan in the 2000’s, the majority of our televised games were on JP.
Came here to post that the JP game in the late 90's/early 2000's had Mississippi State/Kentucky written all over it.

When I think of JP Sports I think of State vs. Auburn or Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt. Kentucky definitely got its time too.
I specifically remember multiple State vs UK games in the early 2000’s (at least one of them was on JP I know for a fact) where Jackie refused to stop kicking off to Derek Abney even though he was scoring a touchdown every time we kicked it to him.

Lmao....kicking to Derek Abney was a fools errand for sure. What a beast he was. Those old Kentucky-State JP games were glorious!
