Teams essentially play games at home then play one neutral site tourney for the title. It's worse than the NCAAT women's tourney playing neutral site games for the first two rounds. At least they go to a neutral site for the sweet 16 games.

That tourney still operates like the niche sport that it is.

Not enough interest for a neutral site games for whole tourney? Women's basketball has more interest.

This given that the OP named himself after their current coach.

We are going to play for a national title and play all of our games at home except for the final round.

So you want to have neutral site games for 4-5 weeks? Sounds dumb to me. I think the system in place works pretty well.

You sound a little butthurt

Once those kids from the little league world series team grow up, we will have a mighty fine team on our hands.

These threads always come from fans of teams that historically suck in baseball.

NCAA basketball was like this until 1984. I guess Miami's NCs in football in '83,87 and '91 don't count either since they played in the Orange Bowl.

Be proud of your softball and girls' basketball teams. The rest of your programs are dumpster fires.

The same goes for softball, and as a lurker, IIRC you were touting the lady "softvols" at one point during the season.

Maybe...maybe not, but I think we'd all rather hear about what Butch plans to do for lunch today

Yeah. I don't know of any huge sport that has the playoffs at the higher seeded team's stadium.

What the hell is this even about? How did you think to type this or did I miss a thread this is in response to?

NCAA baseball has the best postseason. There's no computers or fluke wins like in March Madness, you have to beat the best teams twice.

I definitely was. Baseball and softball are niche sports.
