Tennessee did not deserve to be in. Holy shite that team was bad

Alabama had some kind of culture and QB problem and just didnt show up like they should have @ Tennessee the last year. NIL may be part of it.

Ole Miss is also a bit of a head scratcher. NIL I believe has some of these kids knowing they have a guaranteed spot regardless of how they prepare for a game.

possibly a problem for tOSU against Mich.....also a head scratcher.

Yeah. Bama should just get in the playoffs every year just because we have people watching less games now.

The more I watch, the more I'm convinced that 12 teams is way too many.

We've been talking about this for years on here (some of us, anyway), but the same teams with superior talent and depth are still going to win it.

Everything else is, "Hey, we made it!" media-propped window dressing before that familiar, harsh reality sets in.
12 teams is definitely too many. This year was set up perfectly to support the 12 team idea (no clearly dominant teams), and it still has failed thus far. Unless NIL/Portal/RevShare continues to balance out the field, 4 is the ideal number provided the best teams and not conference champions are admitted.

You know...somehow CBS, TNT, TBS, TruTv created that completely immersed feeling during the first weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament.

There may be a new sheriff coming to town and the ball is round.

From last year’s NCAA Tournament over the 67 games, viewership was up 3% with an average 9.9 million viewers per game.

It would be so NCAA athletics to focus on conference realignment, playoff expansion etc.. for football while simultaneously destroying the sport when here soon hoops may be driving the bus. And in my mind basketball seems to be more “normal” than football when considering the landscaped change due to NIL/Portal.

If so the SEC looks to be well positioned with our surge in taking over yet another major sport.

This is why I would take UNC, Duke, Kansas and 1 more if forced to go to 20..

We would dominate all 3 major sports.. not only today, but going forward as well.

Lucky Texas has Georgia carry them to the top. Aggy helped Texas out as well. Tell again, why did the SEC need Texas.

Why were these games played on TNT?
Just stop the clown show already.
Did True TV already have commitments?
What about televising on the CW when they add 12 more garbage teams to get to 24?

Keep 'em out, got to have OOC bragging rights!

But those would be good options if "forced" to expand.

Because it was better to have Texas in the SEC than the B1G.

Texas
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Michigan
Ohio State
USC
Nebraska

that’s 7 blue bloods and a lot of eyeballs..

You’d prefer that?

That is what the college football playoffs have become. This is what people said they wanted. TNT is great during the first two rounds of the college basketball tournament. Most of you here wanted a basketball style tournament for football, and here we are.
