This is really starting to be more like let's take down the SEC conspiracy. Where did Gumble go to school?

to me, sure reads like, "yeah, there's a statute of limitations, but we can pretty much ignore it if we want to"

I really think the NCAA could clear this whole mess up if they locked Terry Bowden and Tommy Tuberville in a room with an NCAA investigator for a couple hours.

Sounds spot on for the NCAA.

Chris Keys

This is where you lost me. Keys couldn't have had "the same benefits as McClover" b/c Chris only lettered one year (2005) and was later booted from the team (NOT something you do when a player has tons of dirt on you).

Keys and Ali Sharrief were supposedly a package deal. Keys lived with the Sharrief family. Ali and Chris were "like brothers" for a period of time, but once they got to Tuscaloosa there was a coming apart between the two - allegedly over Keys saying that Ali wouldn't have a scholarship if it werent for him (although, by that point Ali was playing some and Keys wasn't). Ali kicked his arse and broke Chris' leg (inb4medicalredshirtjokes).

Keys was recruited, signed, and played under Shula. This was also during a time when we had JUST been slammed by the NCAA. I doubt that what is being alleged about/by Keys is true. I am not saying we don't have our own dirt, but would be shocked if part of that dirt was Chris Keys.

As much as it would suck for the league for something like this to come out, I would laugh my fricking arse off if it came out that ua, lsu, and a few others were cheating their asses off.

Leaving only Vandy, making them the conference champs for the past several decades.

Every major program has middle men delivering cash to players in some form or fashion. However, I would guess most of it is relatively small. And I mean any school, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 10, all of them. However, the Cam situation and Auburn seems different.... like major green is being thrown around.

Not many players are struggling. And I don't think full rides cover all that much.

I hope they find legit info and go with it. I'm about ready for the top to be blown off some of this stuff.

I think the Keys thing is that he got "help" when he moved up to Jackson County to live with the Sharrief's.

I'm not saying it was UA's favorite lumberyard man...but...

The only reason why I could ever see Auburn cheating is because they had to even the playing field with everyone else in the SEC.

Most likely/logical reason for Keys being in the HBO special. I don't buy the assertion that Keys received "the same benefits as McClover". You don't do this:

to someone with that type of dirt on you.

Just more proof you don't frick with LSU.

We have Voodoo on our side. The clock cancels out the voodoo though so it doesn't help in games. Clocks have a positive energy to balance out the negative giving off by the voodoo curse.
