What position does Beckwith normally play? If it's Tackle, our ends might have a better chance of getting to Prescott

Beckwith's bigger too. Longer arm span. May be an upgrade. God it feels good to be hated.

We would just throw in a better player at center if all you had to be was bigger and a better lineman. Maybe Beckwith has a lot of experience at center and maybe he's a natural like Barrett Jones was when he took over, but its not as easy as some of yall are expecting it to be. We went through the same deal in camp. Ben is a our best snapper but our third worst blocking center. Bell is our best, but snaps so badly that we gave up on him, and Conyers is the best center on our team but we cant play him there because we need him to be our swing tackle. Depth if affected by not playing Muniz and you are going to need depth against A&M

He played center last year and had some snaps there in camp. And Hevesy is a boss, he just can't recruit.

All I needed to here. As long as guard depth can handle it, y'all should be ok.

I thought msu would win the sec too but not now

And he got off easy. He should not be allowed in the sec again

Engie reminded me of it on the ther board, it'll hopefully goes as well as when Quentin Saulsberry subbed in for Brignone at center a few times back in 09-10

while not taking 1st or 2nd team reps at the position all camp long,

This is the part you got wrong.

Day missed the entire spring with surgery. Beckwith has gotten reps at C all along as our backup plan at the spot. I tried to explain this to you before.

Right -- and our OL was going to be a glaring weakness this year -- especially after we lost our "starter" Damian Robinson. At some point, you've just got to admit your tendency to star gaze doesn't work on guys we actually get and keep up front. As bad as Hevesy pisses us off in recruiting -- he always fields a pretty good OL...

Our problem with A&M won't be our offense against their defense. Dillon is critical in that he calls the assignments on the OL so that is huge. If we lose, it will be their offense exploiting our corners.

Yep -- kicking the SEC OL of the week over to C will be the death knell...

I don't know, he looked pretty shaky when he came in at center Saturday night.

That's probably because he didn't play center Saturday night. He was too busy handing out tissues and pancaking everything in sight at guard.

FIFY

A&M has had to play a backup center some so don't start the excuses. The Aggies are coming to your stadium and your fanbase will be sobered up before we leave.

Day should have been suspended 2 games - 1 for each occurance. While I'm sure his absence won't help, I think TAM would have won anyway. TAM by 10.

Miss State can win without Day....A&M beat USC and if you look you will see that USC is deadlast in a lot of categories in defensive stats in the SEC. Miss State has defense and young Mr Hill will find tough sledding against those maroons.
