It will be interesting to see how he pans out. He really only had that one senior season and it was a special one until he got completely shut down by DeSoto in the playoffs.
He certainly has the physical tools.

Not saying he’s going to be as good as Gabriel right away I have seen enough of his throws to know he’s got it . He is super fast too those runs Gabriel ran will be house calls with him . Gabriel is going to get paid some good money .

If true, that has to be because they were in fear of losing Arnold.
I cant imagine their choice is to go into a new league with an unproven true soph QB when their other option is a very solid 2 year starter that just went 10-2.

I don't think there is any real evidence out there that the coaches told Gabriel that Arnold would start over him next year. Just that there would be another open competition.
The idea that Arnold is going to be some kind of savior reminds me a lot of the situation with Nico at Tennessee.
I'm sure Arnold will be a good one... But I remember all the hype around Spencer Rattler when he got to OU. Same thing with Spencer. Didn't live up to the hype at either OU or USC. So my expectations are tempered. I'd be thrilled if by the time he (Arnold) was done that he would be a top three or four SEC QB.
A lot of OU fans are expecting every incoming QB to be All American/Heisman types... or they aren't happy.

OU traded one year with Gabriel (if he even beats out Arnold this spring), for 2 years with Arnold.
