Coming in with Gary Pinkel who many Missouri fans thought(before the season) was a great coach and would lead them to the same results as the Big 12.

Now of course many want him fired and he is considered a bad coach.

But, Gary Pinkel has won the 3rd most games in Missouri history. He is only behind Dan Devine and Don Faurot(which their field is named after). Pinkel was 85-54 as the HC of Missouri while they were in the SEC, a 64% winning percentage.

Pinkel led the Missouri Tigers to a 5-7 record this year in the SEC*.
*Thank god for Southeastern Louisiana and UCF to get them to 5.

Last time Missouri only won 5 games? 2004. In fact, a 5-7 record this year is tied for the 2nd worse record for Pinkel while at Missouri.

With the upcoming season not looking very promising either, did they make a mistake coming to the SEC? Obviously A&M did because they have Texas to pull talent from. Missouri said they would pull talent from the SouthEast because Pinkel was going to start targeting those prospects.

Kudos to A&M

Georgia
South Carolina
Alabama
Florida
Texas A&M

They said the East was a weak division and that they would compete for it.

QB and OL injuries along with the usual mediocre coaching killed Mizzou this year. Lots of young OL talent got some experience this year, we'll be back.

Win it, they were going to go to Atlanta in their first season.

Why? Because they dominated the big12 north, sort of.

I will preface my post with the word Louieville.

Now that we have gotten that out of the way. Pinkel has been medicore as of late at Mizzou. Most of those wins are OOC pansies. He has a losing record against ranked teams. He's had a losing record against teams over .500 for the past several seasons.

Mizzou had injuries before the season started and never got better on top of pinkel's inadequacies.

Even with all that mentioned had JF not thrown 4 interceptions at the swamp Mizzou would have Louieville'd Florida.

You guys are the ones who should be concerned about your program.

What? Before this season Mizzou fans said the drunk was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I think it may have saved it.

Moving to the SEC has shown the many deficiencies that were not as evident in the Big 12. It has forced GP to either shite or get off the pot. In the Big 12, he'd win 8-10 games and be fine.

Not so in this league. I'm not gonna use the injury excuse, because it just exposed our lack of depth, which is a killer in this league.

GP is gonna have to step everything up, from recruiting, to preparation, to game management. This season exposed the glaring deficiencies in all facets.

We weren't the ones talking about coming into the SEC and dominating Georgia, Florida, and Carolina.

That was Mizzou.

Stay on Topic and keep the delusion talk where it belongs, on Mizzou.

I think they will be 6-8 win teams with the potential for 10-11, but not with Pinkel. Not because of his game management or anything, but if A&M continues to play like this and Texas doesn't get the death penalty anytime soon, they're going to need someone with strong, and I mean STRONG ties to Texas. I just don't think they can pull enough recruits from any of the other surrounding states and Missouri to be SEC-deep at the necessary positions without having a good foot in Texas.

If we're gonna play this game, pretty much Arkansas' entire team was injured at various points this season, and it didn't help that the coach's favorite color is potato.

Injuries are never an excuse. Even with those injuries, if we had a QB who didn't suck Ben wah balls, we'd have beaten UF and Vandy.

7-5, nothing to hang your hat on, but it was what I personally expected, and we'd be playing in a bowl.

frick, our QBing was complete garbage.

I agree with that. What was the deal, anyways? I had pretty high expectations of Franklin coming into the year. I haven't been able to get on the rant in awhile, so sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseam.
