Their class last year was largely boosted by the massive coaching changes across the country. They paid a lot of guys that were hung oit to dry by the coaches who left and most of them just said frick it and went with A&M at the last minute. The OU/Texas sec move is really hurting them now too. Both schools are pulling great classes over them this year.

OU/tu to the SEC was announced over a year ago. It’s not that big of a deal.

Number of commits:
Texas - 20
OU - 17
Texas A&M - 6
Number of 3 star commits:
OU - 8
Texas - 6
Texas A&M has 1 who is a punter.
Number of Top 100 players:
Texas - 5
OU - 4
Texas A&M - 3
We will take 20 or less recruits in this class. We can’t “fill up on bread” early in July like y’all are doing. If we had either of those classes right now I would be worried. I am confident with the guys we currently have and the guys we are actively recruiting. Way less concerned with the ranking of this class as I am with the average rating / quality.

Who’s filling up on bread? OU is only taking 23-25 which is the new normal for class sizes. Also OU is top 2 for 4-6 more top 100 guys and it’s looking like leading for David hicks now. OU and Texas will finish top 5 this year. A&M is looking at finishing outside the top 15.

Six recruits: 5 4-stars plus the best punter in the state. Poor us.

Not sure how A&M ends up but it would be smart to only go crazy with NIL at that level every other year.

You won’t finish in the top 5 with 8 3 stars if you’re taking 23-25 guys.

Shows how little you know about recruiting, this doesn't always seal the deal with recruits, especially when your campus is ugly like A&M's

No it doesn’t, but it definitely helps. There is no evidence to support hicks leaning OU.
