Did Sankey let the ole lady from Tennessee set the schedules this year?

Looking around the SEC teams schedules, there is some very tough schedules left for a lot of the “contenders”.
But Tennessee seem very favorable
Toughest 3 games all at home
(Texas-Alabama-LSU)
Road games
( A&M-S.Carolina- Vandy)
Who wouldn’t want to trade with them on scheduling?

He certainly has made it where SEC teams will have to fight an uphill battle with one hand tied behind them. Adding OU and Texas and then asking everyone to play an extremely difficult schedule is one thing. But adding the 9th SEC game on top of all that just made it even more hard and brutal. Doing all this with no guarantee that the committee will take all these factors into account was totally crazy and pointless. Adding the 9th game without screaming and pounding the table and demanding everyone else step up their scheduling was insane. I’m all for SEC teams playing better games but adding the 9th game on top of an already murderous schedule for just about every SEC school while everyone else coasts is stupid. I thought he was supposed to be the SEC Commissioner. He seems to be working for the other power 4 leagues.

It's only tough if you keep losing them. Heupel seldom holds down the fort. You have to win those home games.

Tennessee played prime Florida, Georgia, and Alabama every year for over thirty years and NOW the SEC is playing favorites for us. Cmon man.

The SEC was guessing that you wouldn't be the marquee game this week. But they thought it would be good enough to bring to ABC. Why guess?
Fans complained when they didn't know the kickoff time in advance. Some want to know if they need to spend the night, and that takes planning and it can be expensive, as everyone knows.
That said, the Shorthorns catch a break. Until they don't.

Georgia has a very favorable schedule. But, that is payback for a couple of years ago (2024) when we played:
#14 Clemson
@#4 Alabama
@#1 Texas
@#16 Ole Miss
#7 Tennessee
all during the regular season then faced
#2 Texas (SECCG)
7 ND (playoffs)
Then in 2025 we had:
@#15 Tennessee
#17 Alabama
#5 Ole Miss
#10 Texas
#23 GT
Then:
#9 Alabama (SECCG)
#6 Ole Miss (Playoffs)
Those wringing their hands over our schedule this year conveniently forget those back to back schedules.

This comment makes you look like an alter from the B1G.
Several broadcast journalists have repeated that the CFP committee doesn't want a three loss national champion.
Three strikes and you're out.
All you have to do is look at the point spreads in the B1G to understand that Sankey sold out the SEC to ESPN.
Meanwhile, each university will lose one home game every other year. Here in Athens that takes about 950 K out of the local economy.
And in the Connecticut ESPN board room they are probably laughing their asses off at those dumb as dirt southerners for letting this happen.

I was responding to a Bama fan (you) who said Knoxville wasn't a tough place to play because, "Heupel seldom holds down the fort. You have to win those home games." So, I was just pointing out that, Heupel has held down the fort against your team. You are the reason I mentioned Bama...
