I don't see how a scandal in cheerleading is comparable to a scandal in men's basketball. I couldn't even tell you if Mizzou has a competitive cheerleading team

You mean that the UK administration didn't ignore a problem but faced up to it and admitted it and took the consequences? No. No similarities at all.

The only reason this is happening cause a cheerleader saw a handout to a basketball player and expected to get one since they were national champions. Now she is taking revenge. That and the obvious hazing. Probably more so of the hazing.

I don't know or care about anything Kentucky so whatevers.

The supposed scandals are completely different. The Kentucky coaches allowed their athletes to engage in illegal activities which endangered their lives.

Haven't read much into the details but I would imagine it's pretty standard hazing and you are hyperbolizing. Regardless, I still fail to see how a scandal involving essentially a club sport is the same as cheating in a revenue sport. They fired the coaches and none of the athletic dept was involved and/or covering it up, right?

I’m sure Kentucky fans would take their scandal over yours.

This thread makes you seem kind of slow.

Yeah, because would have taken the same action if this was football or basketball. Kentucky has never used shoe money to obtain a recruit.

Wouldn’t something need to happen to Wade for it to be a scandal? It’s almost June baw and he’s still HC

We did with Mumme. He officially resigned but was asked to leave over violations. And that was after an Outback Bowl and Tim Couch.

From everything I’ve gathered, everything that happened was pretty normal for college kids to do. Just so happened they were student athletes and a complaint was made by a parent. A lot of former team members say no one was ever forced to do anything and that coaches were never apart of the said events. Seems as if one parent has pissed off many current and former cheerleaders

This is essential.

Just so we can fairly assess the situation

And Eddie Sutton. He was forced out by UK not the NCAA.

Our cheerleaders:

1. Snuck in alcohol and got drunk on a team sponsored Summer trip to the lake.

2. Went skinny dipping and threw topless teammates into the water after coaches went to sleep or while they were occupied elsewhere.

3. Made incoming freshman memorize a lewd "school song" and preform it in front of the seniors which is apparently hazing.

No one is actually upset about that other than the one mother who complained.
