Did Iowa State just become the premier Athletics Program in the Midwest?

In the same state, Iowa State will be playing fall football while Iowa, and neighboring states of Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Illinois will not be. Must be the best time to be a Cyclone Fan since 2011

Didn’t think about that specific case. A season where ISU plays and Iowa doesn’t would probably change the cfb landscape in that state for the foreseeable future. There might be fans that Iowa doesn’t get back.
