It takes a pretty big tarp to cover the whole Florida peninsula.

I have been driving in this area all day. There’s no way a game would have been played.

Why are you driving if the weather is that bad?

Florida baseball vs. SJU rained out, 3 takeaways from season opener
Kevin Brockway
Gainesville Sun

Mother nature was not kind to Florida baseball this weekend in Gainesville.

The No. 3 Florida Gators (0-1) had the second of two straight games canceled on Sunday due to rain against St. John's. The games will not be rescheduled.

Florida will next play Tuesday night at North Florida (6 p.m.) as part of a two-game mid-week series. UNF will return to face the Gators on Wednesday at Condron Family Ballpark (6:30 p.m.).
