Those were the days, my friend. You do make a solid point about the schedule rotation. I would like to play teams from the east more often. That would help make the conference feel more fluid.

First of all, I doubt that is true. Your program only has one SEC championship in football. Lol. We have 13. That’s a lot of catching up that you have to do in basketball and baseball. Are you including tournament titles?

And let’s say for a second that you are right. You don’t have a single national championship in any sport. We have almost 40 throughout all sports. You’re also a terrible school academically, you don’t bring any TV sets to the table, and your town sucks. Yes, I want to kick Miss State out and for good reason.

Coastal Carolina has more national championships than Mississippi State. Their athletic department is better than yours.

Clemson is also in the state of South Carolina and owns Scar in all sports now. Night and day difference

Yes Clemson is owning South Carolina in most sports right now. Since the 92 expansion however, we have a total of 4 team National Championships (2 in Baseball, 1 in Women's Track, and 1 in Women's basketball). Clemson has 3 team National Championships (2 in Football, 1 in Men's Golf). We also have a Final Four in Men's Basketball while they have never advanced past the Sweet 16. The quality of the two programs since expansion is not as big as you make it out to be.

A- it’s all true and I’ll give you years if you want but we have 1 in football, 18 in baseball, and 9 in MBB, while UGA has 13 in football, 3 in MBB, and 7 in baseball. I don’t make shite up like most of you losers on here
B- I really don’t give two shites what you want to do with the SEC. Lick the real Dawgs balls bitch.

I'd have been ok with that. We fit better culturally with the SEC, but our history was with the teams of the SWC and Big 8. Something has always seemed hollow about "rivalries" with LSU and Ole Miss.

That’s cool, now go win your first natty in any sport. We have a natty in football, baseball, and a final four in basketball.

Arkansas was playing LSU and Ole Miss before the SEC.
Arkansas and Ole Miss played a lot in Memphis
Arkansas' three main OOC rivals in the SWC were Oklahoma St, LSU or Ole Miss.

Oklahoma St was an original SWC school as well.
Plus Oklahoma St is the closest school to Arkansas.

Culturally Arkansas isn't the same throughout the state...anyway.

So it matters what part of Arkansas you from.
Some will say Texas, others will say North Louisiana, Eastern Oklahoma or Mississippi.

I'm sitting at a bar last night watching some SEC sportsball and I realize I am losing my interest in "SEC" shite overall. (Disclaimer: I'm aware the 2012 coincided with a motorcycle wreck and the subsequent destruction of my football program) Two things occurred to me: 1. 14 teams is unnaturally large. High school sports conferences aren't this big. NFL Divisions aren't this big. It's unnatural. 14 teams are a lot of teams to consider and think about and wrap your head around constantly. The league shares borders with Nebraska and New Mexico and Iowa, now. 2. Since the inception of the SEC NETWORK, everything about the SEC is so over-sold. It's constantly selling itself as an entity. Formerly organic things like "conference pride" and chanting "SEC" are now distilled into marketing campaigns intended to drive revenue. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I feel like they pushed it too far. Nothing personal to A&M and Mizzou.

Maybe being an Arkansas when just about all the sports there are not doing well that is pulling you away from being a SEC fan in general. Other SEC teams have beaten your team over and over and you just kinda gave up at this point and time that it is no fun any more to you.

As a Mizzou fan I have felt that way.

I do not like the 14. I liked the 12 and would love 16 hate 14. Just uneven divisions makes for crap. Something needs to change.

Expansion 1.0 diminished my interest in the SEC overall... Expansion 2.0 was like "Week End at Bernie II"... Just terrible... brought nothing to the table.

14 teams sucks as does the current scheduling. Go back to 12 teams or go to a 9 game conference schedule. It’s ridiculous that this is the first year we’ll be playing A&M.
