Ya think they might have stretched the rules a bit?
Now don't you LSU folks start acting like you're Ivy league over Bama again. I remember Morris Claiborne making a "4" on his Wonderlic test (NFL intelligence test). That's so bad its suggests he's illiterate.

My point exactly. So, where did this 7 classes in 1 summer claim originate? My guess: some anonymous poster on a message board. Seems legit.
Well, he took the tests @ LSU and people noticed. He would go down to the JT Curtis qualification classes then take the tests @ LSU. My wife's family if from the Dutchtown area and work in the school system. It was very known what Lacey was doing to qualify. Let's just say it was more than a shock that he improved so drastically.

Why? There's 10 RB's in this league that would shine in his spot? He's a good back. LSU has a few of them. Congrats to Lacy and wish him the best.

He would go take the classes with JT Curtis in NOLA then the state tests would be given @ LSU under the supervision of............ JT Curtis. He's some kind of state licensed instructor that specifically works with kids trying to qualify with the clearinghouse.

So why are you being indignant when it sounds like you haven't done any research on the matter.
Are you fricking serious? I was trying to be nice with my response to your previous post. What I should have said is that you are wrong about there being a possible FERPA violation on this board ivolving Lacy.

Your post indicated that you thought no one could know what is being posited
I indicated no such thing. I asked where the claims that Lacy made up 7 classes in 1 summer originated. I'm still waiting for someone (you perhaps?) to answer that question.

it has been proven that people on this board can apparently find these things out easier than certainly I thought was possible
And it has long been proven that someone can start a bogus rumor on the internet which then spreads like crazy and accepted as fact by those who fail to question its validity.

State tests are regularly given at state schools...

No shite. The JT Curtis link is what raised eyebrows. He's one of the guys Saban goes to visit every year even if he's not recruiting anyone from Curtis.

Lacy was at dutchtown high and was suspended on and off along with dutchtown's other running back. We played dutchtown 4 times while I was in school and Lacy was only available twice. The other running back, and Lacy's friend got caught with a trunk full of
. Lacy was really the second best of the two, and the back up until the drug incident. I wouldn't doubt if any of the discipline issues with Lacy may have deterred a scholarship.

Look at Avery Johnson. We knew he had questionable grades and might not qualify. We didnt just pull his scholly. He ended up not qualifying and went JUCO route, but we still gave him every opportunity to put it together. And even though he went JUCO
Pretty positive Avery in enrolling at LSU. He didn't go JUCO, prep school perhaps.

Yea he is this year. But last season was his senior year of high school. And it was a prep school not JUCO, my bad. Point was that we knew there was a shot Johnson wasnt going to qualify but we didnt back off of him.

Not a big loss at all. We have more talented 6'0 180lb WRs on the roster.
