Emmitt also had a consistently great O-line to run behind and a QB and WRs/TE to keep defenses from playing solely to defend against the run. Also, that era placed more emphasis on setting up the roster to run first rather than passing it all over the field.

I love Emmitt, but just keeping it real.

Agreed . . .this is why I said circumstance. If Henry's production tails off and he has a nice, solid 8-10 year NFL career then he will be thought of like Eric Dickerson and others that were amazingly productive for a relatively short period of time and obviously had remarkable talent.

But it is not just Emmett . . . Zeke Elliot has better numbers through is first five seasons and I don't see anyone tabbing him as the GOAT. I am not sure why Henry was so slow out of the gates in his career . . . .maybe the Titans are just that dumb. Who knows.

This is the dumbest thing I'm going to see today. Never heard of Emmett, Bo or Walker?

He got double digit carries in only 12 of his first 32 games. 8 of those 12 games he got under 15 carries.

That is like having a loaded rifle and trying to use it as a club.

Neither had elite pro careers, and Henry's Heisman season can match well with either of Bo or Herschel's best college seasons.

Bo would have. Herschel was overrated

262 more yards more than DH, on 171 more carries... with 14 fewer TDs. In case you were seriously pondering why nobody considers Zeke the superior RB

Wow. Henry is stunningly superior to Elliott.

Yeah but all the people trying to stop both of them were 10x smaller than they were.

Well, one is a dumb statement that you said, and the other is a legit statement worth pondering.

I know he didn’t come out of the SEC, but my favorite is Barry Sanders. He’s the best I’ve ever seen.

I'd probably agree with you. Like Walter Payton,
I'd love to have seen both of them on really good NFL teams throughout their careers.
