He will run a fast 40 yard dash.
The scouts question his lateral quickness and say he struggles to "create" while running. Some also think he requires a lane to get going. Once he gets going, he's hard to catch/tackle. However, it seemed that if there was any penetration into the backfield that disrupted the play, Derrick Henry didn't have quick enough feet to get away.
I think he goes 2nd round.

Yea, I'd say 2nd-3rd. Kind of depends how the board falls and who needs what.

Pretty much agree with all of this.
What's amazing is that so many people on tRant say he's slow. I don't remember him ever getting caught from behind at Bama. If he gets going, it's over.

Yea, that's dumb. He's not slow at all. He isn't shifty, but if he is in a footrace with pretty much anybody on the field he is going to win. Just see the multiple examples from last year for proof.

For perspective, Henry had six 40+ yard runs this past year.
Eddie Lacy and TJ Yeldon combined for 4 in 2012.
He's the only RB I can remember at Bama that didn't routinely get hawked down from behind. Once he was in the secondary, he wasn't going to be caught.

I'm not so sure how his game will translate to the NFL given his aforementioned weaknesses and the fact that running backs his size generally don't last very long, but him being "slow" won't hold him down. He's fast, especially given his size.

But when you put Lacy in a DH thread...

Henry's problem is at the LOS. Most of his long runs were when there wasn't any 2nd level defenders.

Most of his long runs he blasted past or through 2nd level defenders.
