From Stingley Sr:

quote:

"Derek called me immediately after and was like 'Dad, Pelini never called me, Aranda never called me.' They'd talk to me yeah but not have personal relationships like coach [Corey] Raymond. It just shows he's relating to these kids. I'm pretty sure Derek's going to want to run through a wall for him."

I guess you could go ahead and say that the defense is better now than at any point last year.

Can't wait to see all those personal relationships make tackles and not get burnt in coverage.

Maybe the new DC can teach him how to cover.

Can’t teach not opting out nor calling out sick, though.

Played a few, and none of the guys I played with in college made a tackle because they liked their DB coach.

ETA: Or miss one because they hated him.

Did any of them miss a tackle because they didn't like their DC?

Last two DCs never talked to their players? Sounds like a culture problem.

Some of you folks must be truly miserable. A player comments on how much he likes his new coach and this is the first thing that crosses your mind.

God help you. LOL

Somehow I don’t doubt that one bit, Tiger.

Meh, it’s fair game. Maybe you should have a talk with Sidewalk to not post every thought that enters his brain.
