Hey, A&M got what they deserved when they got Fran. He won just a few games at Bama and you thought that you had to have him. You thought he was the best thing since sliced bread, and called Bama fans whiners for complaining about how he left. Bama fans got great satisfaction when Oklahoma beat A&M that first year 77-0 and could have scored more.
Frankly, I didn't mind him leaving so much as I did the way he did it. He was always the rude sort, and he didn't exactly respect fans as he should have, but if the players liked him, then that was all that mattered, and they didn't understand why after talking them into staying(hold the rope) that he left without even speaking to them.
Fran was a jerk and in my eyes could never be one of football's good guys.
