I wish they would post a statistic on people getting shot by police while not resisting arrest. I bet that number is zero. This problem is not going away ever, people that resist arrest, no matter what color their skin is, will continue to possibly be shot. George Floyd was a straight up murder, although he did resist arrest, which could have possibly changed the outcome. Why three police officers couldn't put cuffs on him within the first thirty seconds of the take down can never be explained. Breona Taylor happened after police knocked on the door before entering and her boyfriend firing shots first. If they would have just answered the damn door, she would be alive today.

Being killed by a cop in general is about as likely as being killed by lightning; people would laugh at anyone who claimed to be afraid to go outside bc of lightning

I've been done with pro sports. If they allow this crap with college sports I've done with it too. Time to just fish more. No political b.s. there.

Is this still contested?
quote:

At a news conference on the day of the shooting, police said officers had knocked several times and “announced their presence as police who were there with a search warrant.” The lawsuit from Taylor's family claims police did not knock or identify themselves before they busted into the apartment.

Her boyfriend said he heard a knock at the door but didn't hear them say police. That doesn't mean they didn't say it.

From her boyfriends statement

The audio reveals Walker's account of that night during an interview with the Louisville Metro Police Department hours after his girlfriend's death. He said he and Taylor shouted "who is it?" after hearing multiple knocks at their door.

Funny how most news reports claim both were asleep when the raid occurred, but Kenneth Walkers own account of the situation claims something entirely different.

Well I wouldn’t answer the door in the middle of the night either. Knocking on a door and then immediately breaking it in is not the same as knocking and waiting for an answer

See, there you go again stating something you don't know is true. Who says the knocked and immediately broke down the door? Maybe they knocked, said police open up, waited a minute or two and then busted it down. Her ex boyfriend was a drug trafficker that used that address as his. They had every right to be there, they knocked, they came inside and they were shot before they returned fire. Guarantee if they are not shot first, no one gets shot. That's how 99.9% of these situations end. They end peacefully.

You mean after the USPS inspector said the ex hadn't had mail delivered to that address in a long time?

Look, the BLM "movement" is Marxist bullshite. Floyd was a piece of shite that would likely be dead from an OD right now if would have not resisted arrest. The cop that shot that piece of shite this weekend should have aimed CNS insead of Center of Mass.

Cops used a battering ram on Taylor's apartment. I guess you can call that knocking. The Taylor situation is what BLM should be focusing their effort on, instead of all the shitbags they hold as martyrs. That is a real case of shitty police work and corner cutting.

BLM not elevating Taylor's death to the level of Floyd's death nor the now wheelchair bound sex offender show BLM's agenda has nothing to do with police reform or even Black Lives Mattering. It is Marxist shite that wants to attack the nuclear family.

All of these incidents certainly shouldn't be put into the same group.

I think the marxist thing is much more the organization than the movement though. Some people are getting sucked into the organization over the movement though and that is a shame.

A shite ton of people are still mad about Taylor’s death. Even have signs about it in BLM protests.
The media just doesn’t show that.

In 2020 the highest virtue is “authentic emoting” which ironically creates a wave of pressure to conform to whatever the current way of emoting over whatever issue. Some kind of social media statement, back rectangle, certain clothing, hand motion, chant... It’s a nonstop religion of shame, like waves in the ocean.

Waves don’t build, they only wear down and destroy. Once an organization begins to show signs of weathering it’s only a matter of time.
