I wonder were these teams would rank in defense if they wouldn't have faced an LSU offense.

Still garbage-level competition. I posted a follow up several replies down.

Maybe "good" defenses are good because they haven't faced good offenses yet.

Auburn hasn't faced a top 35 offense yet. Sounds like that defense is overrated.

Sorry, I'm using the same stats as the OP to make the same stupid point.

They’re ranked so low because they played LSU

LSU looks great so far on offense.

But, Texas is also ranked low defensively due to their performance against Ok St and Vandy because Purdue lit them up.

I’d be salty too if our QB was only completing 53.8% of his passes and has only thrown for 644 yards. Bo has only topped 200 yards ONCE all season...against Tulane lolz

No stats matter except 4-0.

If they keep winning, LSU is in playoff.

Same is true for any undefeated SEC team.

So statistically speaking, Georgia Southern is the best defense LSU will have played 5 games into the season. Let that sink in. That's like ACC-level competition... What happens when golden boy Burrow plays a defense with a pulse? How big will the meltdown be when the O-Raid offense faces a real SEC defense???

Why is it so hard for people to accept reality and then go to great lengths trying to convince others to do the same?

Well statistically speaking, since you like stats.. Let these stats sink in...

LSU is #1 nationally in Scoring Offense (57 Pts per game)
LSU is #2 nationally in Passing Offense
LSU is #5 nationally in Total Offense
LSU is #2 nationally in Completion Percentage
LSU is #4 nationally in Team Passing Efficiency
LSU is tied 1st nationally in Red Zone Offense (scored on 27 out of 27 Red Zone Attempts)

Burrow has won SEC Offensive Player of the week 3 times in the first 4 weeks of the season

3 LSU WR’s occupy the Top 4 spots for the SEC Receiving TD Leaders

LSU’s Offense has scored 231 Total Points, which is the most points through the first 4 games in SEC history. ( Broke Bama’s record from its record setting offense in 2018)

Burrow’s 357 Passing yards in the 1st Half last Saturday against Vandy was the most in a half by any player against an SEC team in the last 15 years.

These are ALL real numbers, facts and stats that back up LSU’s offensive performances thus far. It doesn’t matter if the offense is playing against “Air”, these are very impressive stats.

It’s incomprehensible that some here actually try to diminish what this offense has accomplished bc they are either clueless about football or just dislike LSU that much. Either way it makes these posters look foolish and can’t be taken seriously.

4 games into the season should be a pretty good sample..

LOL

1. 4 is a terrible sample size (not that 13 is much better).
2. LSU has a drastic influence on these numbers. I would be more concerned if these teams were ranked in the top 10 after we played them.
3. Total Defensive YArds PPG without LSU vs how many yards LSU had

Georgia Southern avg. 379.5 YPG outside LSU
LSU had 472 against them
+92.5

Texas Average 391 YPG outside LSU
LSU had 573
+182

Vanderbilt
509.5 YPG outside LSU
LSU had 599
+89.5

LSU averages 121 yards per game over their opponent's average.

Not bad.

To be fair that is all yall are using to hype him. So why is it a good sample for positive things but not for negative?

Can you think of a better example of a team that hyped their QB off playing Garbage defenses?
