Defensive rankings of LSU opponents this year...

Team - Total Defense Rank (www.cfbstats.com)
Georgia Southern - 80th (404 ypg)
Texas - 101st - (437 ypg)
Northwestern State - FCS - (Horrible defensively.. Gave up 48 points to Houston Baptist this past weekend)
Vanderbilt - 126th (539 ypg)
Upcoming opponent Utah State - 81st (405 ypg)
So statistically speaking, Georgia Southern is the best defense LSU will have played 5 games into the season. Let that sink in. That's like ACC-level competition...
What happens when golden boy Burrow plays a defense with a pulse? How big will the meltdown be when the O-Raid offense faces a real SEC defense???
Follow Up...By popular request... I excluded LSU game stats from the two best defenses they faced..
Excluding LSU, Texas would be giving up 391 yards a game, good for 74th nationally.
Georgia Southern would be giving up 371 yards a game (only 3 games played thus far). Good for 66th nationally.
Not wasting my time on Vandy or Northwestern State.

LSU had nothing to do with the first four being ranked that low

At the very least remove LSU's output from their stats

4 games into the season should be a pretty good sample..

Better hope your D line can get to Joe before he throws (which is possible). If not, we will roll you in BR.

Not when 25% of it is literally their stats against LSU

lol we're still gonna boat race AU.

I realize you probably cant do the math here, but this would look pretty different without LSU making them look hideous.

Another LSU thread is exactly what this board needed. Excellent work.

"1999".
Your road record against aTm won't mean anything when you pay us a visit, Hotsauce. 'Member that.

And to top that off, every single ranking you posted is wrong.
LINK
Vandy is 92
Texas is 110
Ga Southern is 50
Terrible thread. Absolutely terrible. No wonder you didnt provide a link.

Fine.. I'll bite

Even without the LSU games factored in, that's some piss-poor competition..

Yep - agree. Including LSUs output in there just kind of undermines the point.

This.
It's stupid to include LSU's stats against them. I don't understand why people can't figure that out.

My link is ESPN , who is official and im sure fact checks their shite.

To be fair...some of those stats are directly because they played LSU as well. But yes. LSU hasn't faced strong defenses yet.

Damn!! Almost like they all got smoked by a historically great offense.
Do me a favor. Make a thread about Auburn’s defensive ranking on October 25th and then again on October 27th.

Probably around 30% having to do something with it if you analyzed it.
I wonder were these teams would rank in defense if they wouldn't have faced an LSU offense.
