1. Vandy and OU are not good teams...he should have had them better ready for those game
The Vandy loss was completely on the defense and coaching. I think everyone on the team, coaches included, took the week off after the Georgia game because it was just Vandy. And Pavia made them pay.
But the OU, Tennessee, and Michigan games were on Milroe. You can say it is coaching, but against LSU and Georgia when Alabama had a bye and two weeks to prepare Milroe looked great. That makes me think the coaching was fine, it was execution.
When anything goes bad for Milroe, he panics and makes it worse. He becomes a turnover machine. He did it last year against Texas and this year against OU, Tennessee and Michigan. In both the OU and Mchigan games Milroe’s turnovers scored more points for the opponents than their offenses scored during the game. Michigan scored 3 points on drives started on their end of the field and Oklahoma scored 10 points. If your defense holds the opponent to 10 points or less you should win. But when you repeatedly turn the ball over inside field goal range or throw pick sixes it is hard to win. Had he not had multiple turnovers in all of those games on the Alabama side of the field Alabama wins every one of those games.
I don’t know if you can really coach instincts. When it comes to Milroe, neither Saban nor Deboer have been able to do it.
When it comes to Milroe, if you can get him rattled the game is over. Against OU and Tennessee the defense put him on tilt. Against Michigan it was the defense AND that monsoon where no one on Alabama could hold on to the ball or stay on their feet. But instead of taking a breath and staying calm, Milroe panicked and gave the ball to Michigan three times in a row in the first quarter spotting them 16 points to start the game.
Again, I don’t know if that can really be coached out of someone.

How about I remind you about….
- the Alabama head football coach that had a stripper in his room ordering every desert on the restaurant menu….
- the Alabama head football coach that was having sex with a secretary in the athletic department…..
Auburn investigated a head football coach when rumors of an improper relationship surfaced, and after the investigation no impropriety was found. Guess you wish Alabama could be that clean.

We aren’t an apathetic fanbase who works to pump out sunshine on a shitshow of a season and gloss over glaring coaching failures. When we see lack of player development or a coach that fails to manage the clock or manage a game, he’s going to catch hell.
Why the hell would a fanbase constantly lower expectations to the point where they excuse and accept a product that’s less than mediocre?

Auburn used to mock Alabama over coaching turnover. Back when we were giving the likes of Curry and Shula 4 full years to show us something. They've positively EMBARRASSED themselves in the interim between Tubberville and Freeze.
ETA: reminder that Harsin is the only HC who didn’t finish his fourth season in 70+ years, and the period where we “EMBARRASSED” ourselves included a BCS Championship, another BCSCG appearance, two SEC Championships, and more wins over a Saban-coached Bama than any other program

What a lovely spin to put on what was an open witch hunt by the family.

We aren't Auburn. He will get 3 years minimum.
You say that, but when Auburn beats Bama in Jordan-Hare and 9-3 Bama misses the 12-team playoff for the second consecutive season, things may look very different.

Perkins - left for the NFL
Curry - left for Kentucky
Both were pushed out by Alabama boosters and you know it.

Pressure from boosters is going to happen at any school.
Perkins was able to get a nice NFL deal and Curry got a good deal out of Kentucky. They didn't have their careers ended like those who coached at Auburn.

Milroe was considered a top draft prospect before this season.

I wouldn't know, I'm not dumb enough to watch "experts" on a sport I already understand. Especially since they just peddle bullshite for views/clicks.
