Why would he leave?

He's owed a massive buyout.

Next year this time he'll (PROBABLY)be looking for a new job....

If you want to start talking about probabilities, there’s a higher probability that Auburn will be looking for another coach next year than there is that DeBoer and Alabama part ways.

Only if he's fired. If he leaves for another job the buyout is $4 million before Jan 1, and $3 million after Jan 1.

Byrne should be fired if he gives him an extension and a raise.

That's what I mean, why leave when you're owed a massive buyout?

Jimmy Sexton is going to get DeBore his money, one way or another.

That’s for damn sure.

Insane CFB coaching contracts shall continue, and in all seriousness might surpass the top end NFL level at the top level CFB programs.

What's the alternative? You let him go to Michigan and essentially blow up our program for a couple of years?

You'd have to REALLY hate Alabama to walk away from that kind of money.

And Michigan is majorly overrated as a job.

Fans can’t help but think like fans. They don’t do nuance and they don’t look at the big picture.

I actually talked to some idiot Michigan fan that thought this was a possibility. The delusion was beyond belief

Yeah because ignoring it did so well for Ole Miss in the Kiffin situation.
