Bama is a different animal. He's as good a hire as they could have possibly made, but 10-12 wins a season without at least a couple of conference championships will get him max 5 seasons before he's replaced.

It’s not the biggest splash of a hire, name wise, but I think it’s a safe hire at the very least. Time will tell but I don’t think one can objectively say it’s a bad hire.

To me, the only question mark is recruiting for a guy who has zero ties to the southeast and quite frankly wasn't killing it at Washington either. Auburn went down that rabbit hole. No question he's a good coach looking at his record.

As far as the people you can expect to fit and have success, this guy is as big a name as anybody in CFB could have gotten.

The guy can coach. Will come down to recruiting. I would have been more concerned with Kiffin/Lanning, but DeBoer could be formidable if he can keep their recruiting up.
