Clearly you know nothing about college baseball. Seeded one, two, three, four is basically irrelevant. You just want a Top 8 seed so you are at home until Omaha. Winning tonight absolutely locked that up (if it was in doubt). Making sure both his starters got work to stay sharp is way more important that whether you’re a one, two or three National seed. And it also gives some bullpen guys a chance to throw some huge innings tomorrow and maybe Sunday. I had no problem with the decision.

Do they give trophies for those?

the main reason he went to our Saturday starter hasn't even been posted in this thread yet.
he feels that our top two guys are both aces, which they are, one is a lefty and one is a righty, jay said that he wanted them both to have the same amount of rest so he could start either guy depending on the lineup we face in game one next weekend.
plus, they both get to pitch no matter what in this scenario and it gives us a great shot to win .
decision was made last week according to post game interview

we have two very good releivers/ 3rd starters that will likely both pitch tomorrow. were in good shape until championship game if we make it.
we would get a chance to find out who we can trust on a big stage if we win tomorrow

I expect to see all 3 get work tomorrow. I don't think winning the game is a big priority, it's more of a good side effect from the practice he's getting his guys.
If we make it to Sunday, I think it's every remaining arm gets an inning

Hey, we will see. I’m sure he got a lot of flack for losing two of three to A&M this year.
They didn’t need to use both of their best pitchers to beat this team. But hey, at least he got back to 50%

No doubt, but they both needed some work and he wanted them to have the same amount of rest.

I mean, people bitched as they always do, because we were in shape to win more games. But we took one game in a road series against a team everyone expected to be good, and had appeared to turn the corner by beating Tennessee and Arkansas.
It would have been worse had it been at home.
And again, it wasn't an in-game decision. Eyanson isn't going to be getting warm in the bullpen in a regional game 1 when Anderson is sitting at 12 strikeouts in 6 innings, he's going to be chilling and prepping for the next game.

Sorry your baseball team was the worst preseason No. 1 ever. But at least your softball team made up for it by being No. 1 in the postseason!!!

I’m not a part time fan. Just because my team I root for loses doesn’t mean I can’t call you a fricking moron.
